Please do not disturb

Anyone who is always available to colleagues and superiors on a mobile phone puts his personal relationships at risk, and himself – additional stress.

Anyone who is always available to colleagues and superiors on a mobile phone puts his personal relationships at risk, and himself – additional stress. The negative consequences of a “mobile” non-stop life were proved by a large study by social psychologist Noelle Chesley from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (USA). “I’m on mobile!” – leaving the office with this phrase, we signal to others: “You can disturb me” – and thus erase the boundaries between work and private life. Unlike cellular communications, computers and e-mail affect it less. Perhaps because we sit down at the computer of our own free will, and the mobile intrudes into our lives without warning.
