Plant growth stimulants
Plant growth stimulants are artificial phytohormones that help the rapid development of roots, flowers, and improve resistance to external factors. If the home flower does not have enough of these substances, which it produces on its own, you can notice signs of the disease in it.
Types of growth stimulants for indoor plants
In case of poor plant condition or slow survival of the seedling, you can use these preparations. But it is important to strictly follow the recommendations for use indicated in the instructions. Overdose can do even more harm.
On sale you can find many such drugs for indoor flowers:
- “Zircon”. This product helps seeds germinate, accelerates plant development, and stimulates flowering. Spraying with the drug is carried out only in the dark, in the light it loses its properties;
- Epin. Helps the plant cope with stressful situations (transplanting, changing growing conditions). Increases immunity and improves development;
- “Immunotocyte”. Improves plant resistance to diseases. Stimulates growth and flowering processes. Usually used in garden plants, but it is possible to use it for home flowers.
You should not get carried away with such means. They are used only when necessary. For example, if a tropical plant grows in a room, and it does not adapt well to the local climate, then you can feed its strength with artificial hormones.
Plant stimulants for root growth
When transplanting an adult plant or planting a young seedling, the plant needs to be helped to adapt to the new place. For this, root growth accelerators are used:
- “Heteroauxin”. Available in tablets that require dissolution according to the instructions. Consists of indoleacetic acid – the main plant hormone;
- Radifarm. Solution for spraying roots when replanting. Helps reduce stress and recover quickly. Accelerates the development of the lateral root system;
- “Ukoreit”, “Kornevin”. Powdery means, sprinkle them on the roots before planting.
Initially, these funds were created for agricultural needs. In order not to suffer losses due to bad weather or vegetable diseases, farmers fed their crops with stimulants. They should not be confused with fertilizers. These are artificial substitutes for phytohormones that give plants strength and increase immunity.
