It’s no secret that sometimes our wishes don’t come true the way we planned. When we get what we have wanted for so long, we feel neither satisfaction nor joy. We suggest mastering the Taoist technique, which will help you plan the next year in such a way that all the most long-awaited intentions not only come true, but also fully meet your expectations.
I teach qigong practices, the global goal of which is success on all fronts. In particular, social success: self-realization in society, personal relationships, career, parenthood and other aspects of life.
In these practices, which are close to me, there are techniques for working with intentions that have been tested for thousands of years: how to build an intention so that it will be realized in the best possible way? I’m telling!
Searching for a new desire
The first step in setting intentions is summarizing. What has already been done this year? Why was it necessary?
Somehow we sat with friends and discussed what exactly we want to do next year. And to my surprise, I found that friends dream of getting what they already have. Do what they do, master the skills that they already have.
Sounds strange, doesn’t it? You will not believe it: having noticed this, I tried to come up with the most new, unpredictable desire. I came up with it, shared it, and for about thirty seconds I felt incredible pride. Until a friend said: “Anya, but you do exactly that! And you’re doing great.»
Debriefing is a truly transformative experience
We don’t realize how difficult it is to wish for something new. But it is precisely this new that has a charge in order to ignite, inspire, move forward. How to find it?
Fruits of Labor
In order to understand what has already been done, done, studied and mastered, I propose to sum up the results of the year in as much detail as possible. Set aside a couple of hours and write down at least 100 points of what was worth doing this year. There are two secrets of success:
- it is necessary not only to go over the results of the past year in your head (this does not work!), but to write down point by point;
- do not be lazy and really make a list of at least 100 items.
From experience I can say: set yourself the task of writing 10 points — there will be at least 5. If the task is ambitious and large-scale, then there is a reason to try.
At first, you will easily write down all the obvious victories. Then the diary / calendar will help, and you will remember a little more. Even when you say to yourself: «Well, that’s it!» — this is not a reason to stop. Set aside the list for a few hours, look through the photos for the year. Go through each month. I’m sure you’ll find many, many more!
I’ve seen how debriefing affects the people who do it well. They even change outwardly — from sight to posture! This is a truly transformative experience that will tell you a lot about yourself.
Planning for Success
Having done the preparatory work, you can proceed to planning for the next year.
How to formulate desires? I know several formulations that are most accurately implemented in the future. They sound like this: “I want to be”, “I want to be able”, “I want to create”. Why exactly? Because new skills, moving towards a new self, creating new opportunities — this is what ignites on the way.
Most often, we stray into desires “I want to have” — they also come true. But, firstly, the possession of anything, as a rule, does not bring so much energy into life. Secondly, it is these desires that often come true as crookedly as possible.
As soon as wishes come true, you need to sit down and make a new plan.
What you want to learn, what you want to create or implement must also be written down. And put this piece of paper where you will stumble upon it as often as possible, for example, in a wallet.
This is important because we forget about plans and intentions so quickly that at the moment of their implementation we do not even notice what happened. Tracking results is one of the keys to the fastest and most qualitative movement forward. After all, as soon as the wishes come true, you need to sit down and make a new plan — for the next period of time.
I wish you that the plans come true as soon as possible and in the best possible way. Then, say, by May, you will be ready to repeat the entire process described above: take stock, set new goals and continue the exciting movement forward.
