Placenta extract masks: are they worth doing? Video
Placenta masks are increasingly popular among cosmetic innovations, which are great for all skin types and promise fantastic results.
What are placenta extract masks
The placenta is of animal origin and is in demand as a component for masks due to the increased content of amino acids, which help not only maintain youth, but also restore it. It is believed that it contains more than a hundred useful substances that improve the appearance, and these are not only amino acids, but also proteins, vitamins, nitrogen, enzymes and other substances. Considering that masks are impregnated not only with placenta extract, but also additionally enriched with the necessary components for a specific type or existing skin problems, it is rather difficult to overestimate the effectiveness of these masks. At the same time, the origin of the placenta can be both human and animal, although due to the ethical side of the issue, the latter type is used in cosmetology. In appearance, these are ready-made pieces of fabric that have the shape of a face and slits for the eyes, impregnated with a complex of useful substances.
Placenta face masks are especially recommended after the age of 30, when the skin’s own regenerative properties decrease and it begins to need more careful care.
Placental masks perfectly moisturize the skin of the face, and therefore can be used occasionally as a prophylactic agent to maintain a normal moisture level, competing with hyaluronic acid products. Thanks to this, the skin is toned, it becomes more taut, fine wrinkles are smoothed, traces of fatigue and stress are removed. In addition, placental agents contribute to the production of collagen, the regeneration of skin cells, and its rejuvenation.
Depending on the additional components that make up the masks, they can nourish and fight specific problems, for example, regulate the activity of the sebaceous glands or have anti-inflammatory properties.
Rules for using placental masks
They are very simple to use. It is enough to pre-clean the skin, remove makeup, if there are no contraindications, steam it slightly, then open the individual bag in which the mask is packed, take it out and spread the fabric base soaked in the composition on the face or eyes for at least 20 minutes. Eye masks are usually available in the form of patches, that is, a base that is denser in structure, which adheres well to the skin. After applying the mask, it is enough to rinse off the rest of the composition with cool water.
