Pistachio syrup: 2 recipes at home

Light, alluring, expressive, with a pleasant aftertaste – this is how gourmets describe exquisite pistachio syrup. By adding it to any drink, you will feel the taste of delicate nutty praline.

For all recipes, both raw pistachios and lightly toasted with salt are suitable.

Ingredients

  1. Pistachios – 2 cups (without shell)

  2. Sugar – ½ cup

  3. Water – ½ cup

  4. Vodka – 30 ml

Method of preparation

  1. Blend the pistachios in a blender until finely ground.

  2. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Boil the syrup for three minutes, then add the ground pistachios.

  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for another three minutes, then slowly raise heat to medium. Just before it boils, remove from heat and cover.

  4. Let the coated nut mixture sit for at least 3-8 hours.

  5. Then strain it through two layers of cheesecloth, nuts can be used for toppings in pastries.

  6. Pour the vodka into the nut syrup and shake well. Store in refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Easy Pistachio Syrup Recipe

Ingredients

  1. Pistachios – 1 cup (no shell)

  2. One lemon juice

  3. Sugar – ½ cup

  4. Water – 1 cup

Method of preparation

  1. Blend the pistachios in a blender until they are about a quarter of their original size in the cup.

  2. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to a minimum and cook for about 5 minutes more.

  3. Strain the syrup into a sterile container and close tightly. Shelf life 2 weeks
