Pistachio liqueur: 2 recipes at home

Pistachio plantations grow on the largest island of the Mediterranean Sea – Sicily, the province of Catania, the city of Bronte, it is also called “pistachio paradise”. It is here that the history of many companies that produce this delicious nut liqueur begins.

It is not necessary to fly to Italy to try this unsurpassed liquor, you can simply cook it right in your kitchen.

Homemade pistachio liqueur

The original recipe uses Italian grappa, but to adapt this recipe to our products, you can replace it with plain vodka.

Ingredients

  1. Pistachio kernels – half a glass

  2. Sugar – half a glass

  3. Water – half a glass

  4. Cinnamon stick – 1 pc.

  5. Carnation – 1 pcs.

  6. Raisins – 12 pcs.

  7. Grape grappa – 400 ml

Method of preparation

  1. First, let’s prepare all the ingredients. To do this: grind nuts in a blender, and spices in a mortar.

  2. Then we shift everything into a glass container for infusion, add raisins and fill with grappa. We insist 14 days in a dark and warm room.

  3. After two weeks, the tincture must be filtered.

  4. Prepare simple sugar syrup.

  5. After cooling, mix it with spicy tincture and then pass through the filter.

  6. Pour into a bottle and hide in the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks.

  7. After aging, you can start tasting.

Italian pistachio liqueur

Ingredients

  1. Raw pistachio kernels – 250 g

  2. Milk – 1 liter

  3. Vodka – 500 ml

  4. Granulated sugar – 450 g

  5. Vanilla pod – 2-3 cm

Method of preparation

  1. To begin with, the nuts must be chopped in any way convenient for you.

  2. Pour nuts into a glass container, throw vanilla and pour alcohol. We insist 7 days in a dark place at room temperature.

  3. After a week, pistachio infusion must be filtered.

  4. From milk and sugar, we cook such a milk-sugar syrup. To do this, combine these two ingredients and then boil them for 10 minutes.

  5. After cooling the milk mixture, mix it with the tincture and then filter it well.

  6. Pistachio cream liqueur is ready, only before tasting it must be cooled.

  7. An extract is welcome.
