Piramil – action

Piramil contains the active substance in the form of ramipril, who is an inhabitant of the angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE). Thanks to influences on action With angiotensin in the body, it lowers the blood pressure by widening the blood vessels.

After ingestion of the drug orally, it is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and the maximum plasma concentration is reached after one hour. Action of the drug occurs one to two hours after ingestion and lasts for a day. Full action the drug is obtained after 3 – 4 weeks of taking. Effective action the drug may take place in long-term use, up to 2 years.

Piramil – application

The drug Piramil is issued on prescription. The doctor recommends taking the drug in the following cases of treatment:

  1. arterial hypertension,
  2. cardiovascular diseases of atherosclerotic origin,
  3. heart ischemia or stroke
  4. kidney diseases (early stage glomerular nephropathy and overt nephropathy),
  5. symptomatic heart failure.

The drug Piramil it is also used as a preventive measure after acute myocardial infarction.

Dosage place Piramil depends on the disease entity on which the medication is supposed to affect. Taking the drug must therefore take place under the strict supervision of a physician.
