Pimples on the back and neck: where they come from and how to deal with them

Inflammation on the shoulders and back is a problem that even those who can boast of perfect facial skin sometimes face. We tell you what could be the cause of this trouble and how to deal with it.

Speaking of inflammation on the skin, you need to understand what exactly we are dealing with. If we are talking about acne, that is, a chronic skin disease, then it is always better to evaluate its course and the factors affecting it, as well as draw up a systemic treatment regimen in the office of a cosmetologist – and with a medical education.

But it is not always the disease that becomes the cause, and in the case of it – if we are dealing with a mild degree of acne – you can alleviate the situation on your own.

In the appearance of inflammation, bacteria are most often to blame, which sometimes peacefully, and sometimes not very coexist with us on the surface of our skin. In cases where comfortable conditions for life and reproduction are created for not the most friendly of them, we get acne, irritation, itching and other unpleasant phenomena. Insufficient cleansing of the skin, sweating, a tendency to touch the skin with dirty hands and comb it – all this just easily becomes the cause of inflammation.

It is necessary to cleanse the skin of the body regularly, preferably daily, but it is worth choosing soft products for this – overdried skin, whose water-lipid protective layer is broken, easily becomes a target for unfriendly microorganisms.

For those who suffer from acne, experts advise avoiding oil-based products, preferring soft gels. If they contain antibacterial components – zinc, salicylic acid, sulfur, coal, rosemary and tea tree oils – all the better.

Often the cause of acne is quite banal – many people do not wash off conditioners and hair masks thoroughly enough, which leave a coating of emollients, silicones and other ingredients on the skin. They are good for hair, but not for the epidermis. Therefore, it is worth thoroughly washing off the remnants of funds from the shoulders, neck and back, or washing your hair, leaning forward.

Exfoliating the skin of the body helps to get rid of dead cells that become a breeding ground for bacteria.

Sweating is a problem that is not always easy to deal with. Some prefer to partly solve it with astringents and talc or powder, but in the case of problem skin, this can backfire. Experts advise to stop wearing synthetic clothes, switch to things made from natural fabrics: cotton, cotton, linen, and so on.

Alternatively, in the morning after a shower, you can lightly spritz your skin with an alcohol-free antibacterial lotion, which can also be used with chlorhexidine. The main thing is that this measure should not be permanent, but temporary – for a period of special rampage of inflammation.

As in the case of the face, the skin of the body must be regularly exfoliated – this helps to get rid of dead horny cells, which, mixed with sweat, sebum and pollution, become fertile ground for bacteria.

Best of all for the back and shoulders, acids are suitable for this role – salicylic, glycolic, lactic, almond. The last two are also the lightest – they are even called “summer” because they do not cause photosensitivity, and therefore they can be used during the period of active sun.

You can use standard acid peeling products at home – masks, lotions, discs impregnated with an acid composition – and those that are intended for the face. In the case of the lotion, you don’t even need help – you can pour it into a spray bottle and water it yourself. But it is better to refuse a hard washcloth or scrubs, this can only provoke even more inflammation.

Finally, an unbalanced diet, bad habits, stress and a chaotic day, sleep and rest, as well as a lack or lack of physical activity contribute to the condition of the skin – acne on the body is no exception.

In order to minimize the likelihood of their occurrence, strengthen the skin’s defenses, its local immunity and improve the condition, you will have to put things in order in these areas of life. The good news is that this will make it much better not only for the skin, but for the whole body and its owner. Checked!
