When an animal is especially attached to one of the partners, then it may tend to keep the other at a distance. And with such an innocent pose, the pet seems to be trying to turn all attention to itself.

This option is least likely if you snore loudly. However, some cats and small dogs like to sleep on pillows. As a rule, they are very fond of waking their masters. And here your face is immediately available for terrorizing, more precisely, for licking, butting and rumbling straight nose to nose. And the sooner you wake up, the sooner they will get their breakfast – here it is, the power of motivation.

This gives the animal a chance to get closer to its face so it can hear your heartbeat better, but there is an easy escape route if you decide to roll over. However, be on your guard. Maybe your hug friend wants to be a pillow invader to get you awakened faster. And this position is only the first step of his cunning strategy.

Often these pets tend to become pillow invaders. But the case is not excluded when the animal just wants to be closer to you, to feel your breath and admire you while you sleep.

This position is more typical for dogs than for cats. The latter can do a favor and lie in it for a bit, allowing you to stroke your head and back. Perhaps your pet sleeps like this because you have a restless sleep, and he needs to be ready to protect you at any moment. After all, your peace of mind and well-being is most important to him.
