And various images, such as animals or geometric shapes, stimulate the development of the baby. Moreover, such activities have a positive effect on the visual functions of the body: visual acuity, contrast sensitivity increases and the baby’s angle of vision expands.
How to display educational pictures correctly
There are no special rules for this technique. To improve the development of the baby, it is enough to hang suitable pictures around the apartment and bring the baby to them. But you can also install pictures near the changing table or in the arena itself. In this case, it is advisable to periodically name what is drawn in the image. It is believed that this way the baby will start talking faster and remember the names of objects.
But it’s worth remembering that babies don’t have such keen eyesight. Therefore, images should be placed at a distance of 30 cm from the baby. Basic Rules:
- From birth to 2 months, show the baby only black and white images, because children of this age do not yet have the ability to distinguish colors. In addition, it is better to start using pictures of simple geometric shapes.
- Change pictures every 3 days. If the child is interested in any image, then you can leave it for a week so that the baby can study it well.
- Don’t show too many cards at the same time.
- Show your baby color images from 4 months. But remember that the baby will taste them. Therefore, they must be safe and environmentally friendly.
