How to plant Chippendale roses
When choosing a place to plant a plant, rely on three rules:
- the soil should be light;
- the site is well lit, slight shading is allowed;
- soil is required with neutral acidity, but slightly acidic is also suitable.
Planting period is mid-May. Prepare the hole a week before planting. The optimum depth is 40 cm. For backfilling, use soil mixed in equal proportions with humus. Place the seedling itself in water for about a day. Cut the shoots so that they remain 30 cm. We recommend sprinkling the spine with wood ash before placing it in the ground.
Place the seedling at the bottom of the hole so that 10 cm is sprinkled and 20 remains on the surface. Make sure that the root system is straightened out. The fewer bends and breaks, the faster the flower will take root.
During the growth stage, the rose needs to be watered frequently and abundantly. Water an adult plant as the soil dries, it should take about 8-10 liters of water per well. Top dressing is required. Chicken droppings or mullein tinctures are ideal.
Pay very little attention to an unpretentious plant, and it will thank you with bright long flowering.
