Pfizer chief on vaccinations
Albert Bourla, head of pharmaceutical company Pfizer, said that a COVID-19 vaccine given annually would be a better option than a more frequent booster dose.
“This is a welcome scenario – hopefully we can get to the point where we can get vaccinated regularly, once a year,” Bourla told Israeli TV N12 News on Saturday. He referred to the question of the effectiveness of the boosters administered every few months.
– If the preparation is administered once a year, it will be easier to convince people to do so, and it will also be easier to remember. From a public health point of view, this is truly an ideal situation, added the CEO of Pfizer.
