Petisquiño, The Tapas of Vigo

This is the second time that this Tapas contest has been held in the Galician city of Vigo, which encourages the population and visitors to the city to give a good account of the excellent dishes that have been presented.

Petisquiño It is the diminutive or affectionate and close appellation of the Galician word that refers to the Tapa, “The Petisco” which is one of the best culinary delights in the city of Vigo.

Looking out over its estuary, in the south of Pontevedra, its raw material and its careful culinary elaborations make the local hospitality a privileged place for the most demanding palates, where the traveler finds a good reception and, above all, a better livelihood.

The Provincial Federation of Hospitality Entrepreneurs of Pontevedra, FEPROHOS, is the organizer of the gastronomic contest that together with the sponsorship of the Brewery Mahou, the Terras Gaudas wineries, the Cash Record and the distribution company Pereira hospitality have made this celebration possible in Pontevedra lands for the second consecutive year.

In search of the long-awaited award that will give the winning hospitality establishment not only the award but also the prestige and above all the influx in the days after the celebrations as an emblem of the city and above all Best Tapa of the Villa.

A great novelty of the edition is the presentation by the hoteliers of their elaborations “Without gluten”, which helps the Celiac group to also be encouraged to participate in the event, as well as consolidate itself as a clear typology of foods, which are not only increasingly in demand, but also help this form of allergen to lead a balanced life and healthy, thanks to the work of manufacturers, distributors and chefs, who make pathology an opportunity to continue creating.

Be one more at the Petisquiño 2015 celebrations

To participate, we only have to be willing to go out and consume in the participating venues of the sample.

In any of them, you can buy the route that details the establishment and you can vote for each of them when consuming it, evaluating each of the following aspects separately:

  • The Presentation of the Cover
  • The Flavor of the Tapa
  • The quality-price ratio of the lid
  • THE pairing of the Tapa, if it has been consumed together with a Mahou Beer

People who provide these assessments may participate in the Special Prize to the Public, delivering their ballots in the ballot boxes that will be exposed within the participating premises.

The Event will take place from the 5th to the 22nd of November, and then we leave them here linked on the website of the petisquiño contest, all participating venues, where you can see their location on the map of the city and what area represents each of them.
