PSYchology

The theme of death begins to excite children early, causing both fear and curiosity; we often do not know how to talk to them about such difficult things.

Pernilla Stalfelt, a Swedish children’s writer, artist and educator, is convinced: «Adults should not stop the curiosity of the child, but, on the contrary, support his interest and answer all questions, even if the topic themselves causes conflicting feelings.» Why people and other living beings die, what (according to different versions) happens after death, how the dead are buried and how the dead are remembered — all this is told in simple and understandable words, with drawings, as if created by the hand of a child.
