Permanent makeup: what you need to know before deciding

Tattooing is gaining popularity again, but before doing it, you need to understand all its intricacies.

Permanent makeup is experiencing a second wave of popularity. Only now it does not at all look like a permanent from the 90s with its tattoo paints and pigment, which faded out after two years. Now a girl who decides on this beauty procedure and looks as natural as possible. And all due to the fact that this field of activity does not stand still – not only the application techniques have changed, but also the pigments themselves, which are gradually washed out and look natural.

Basic techniques

There are only two techniques in permanent makeup – shading and lines. Feathering is universal, because it can be made both densely colored and barely noticeable, as if the master slightly added color. The line technique is the drawing of hairs (if we are talking about eyebrow tattooing). To achieve the perfect result that looks natural, experts often combine these techniques.

All other names of tattooing are just variations on the theme of these two techniques and are no different from them.

Probably, many people know about the “microblading” technique, which was considered the best for creating the shape of the eyebrows. However, she won a fiasco, and many girls who once decided on this procedure now remove pigment and fight scars with lasers.

Permanent makeup trends

Eyebrows. The main trend in permanent makeup is naturalness. That is why eyebrows are most often done with soft shading from one shade of pigment to another: lighter at the bridge of the nose, then a smooth transition of dark to the middle of the eyebrow and the tip.

Eyes. Remember how everyone made arrows for themselves, and then got tired of them and did not know what to do with them? So, this is the last century. The currently relevant inter-eyelash contour is applied between the eyelashes pointwise, making the look expressive.

Lips. Masters forbid even thinking about a clear outline. They apply the pigment using soft shading and different application densities.

Camouflage. In fact, this is the same color correction that allows you to mask normotrophic scars (not protruding or sinking relative to the level of the surrounding skin), burns, traces of unsuccessfully removed moles.

The camouflage procedure takes place in several stages. The first stage is a light, loose application of pigment in order to look at the shade in a month and, if necessary, choose a more successful combination of colors. You should be aware that color correction can be carried out only with the complete completion of the cycles of procedures for the removal of the vascular and pigment components. The second stage is the complete application of the pigment, which completely hides the imperfection of the skin.

How to choose a specialist

It is best to look for a specialist not on Instagram, but among friends in order to personally look at the work. Moreover, it is important that the procedure was not done yesterday or the day before yesterday. The real result will be visible only after a couple of months, when the specialist has already done the second, control procedure.

It is even better if the wizard performs this procedure not for the first time on the same area and the result is always the same. And if you have several acquaintances with the work of this doctor, you should also look at them. This is the surest and most reliable way. You can safely sign up to such a specialist.

Some masters, especially beginners, post not their work in their profile, and you will not be able to recognize it in any way.
