– Maria, is there a division of fragrances into seasonal? How to calculate winter perfumery?

– In fact, there is no such clear division. The scent should be chosen not according to the season or weather, but according to the mood, state of mind and well-being. In winter, when we want warmth and comfort, we really gravitate towards warm perfume notes. What compositions can give them to us? Pay attention to the perfume with notes of vanilla, oriental spices, pepper, peach, pistachios, ginger. Try heavier, deeper scents like patchouli. It is best to get acquainted with them in winter.

– It turns out that in winter we like spices and sweets. Are they not relevant in the summer?

– Why not? If you are comfortable with this scent, you can wear it any time of the year. But, judge for yourself, it is unlikely that in the summer heat you will be pleased to feel the aroma of warming tart ginger. It will strangle you rather than give you freshness. Spices are always associated with warmth and warmth. However, the same citrus, which is considered to be exclusively winter, can be relevant at any time of the year. If we add woody notes to citrus, for example, moss, then we get a refreshing bouquet for summer. Mix tangerine with vanilla or other spices for a winter aroma.

– How to use perfumery correctly in order to enjoy the smell and not stun others with it?

– In perfumery, as in fashion, the main thing is not to overdo it. If you are using perfume, apply it once in the morning. Literally one or two drops on the pulsating points – the neck, behind the earlobes, at the roots of the hair. So the scent will be sillage and will not leave you during the day. Eau de toilette, unlike perfume, is not so concentrated. It is less persistent. It must be applied according to the same principle as perfume: two zips, no more. In the middle of the day, you can refresh the scent. Perfume or eau de toilette should only be on the body. Do not saturate clothes. If you sprinkle eau de toilette on your clothes, and then go shopping, drop into a cafe, ride the subway, at the end of the day your scent will be gone. You will get not the most delicious perfume and grocery mix.

– What scent would be appropriate on a date and completely out of place in the office?

– A heavy sugary bouquet is not an office option. Especially if you are updating the scent just before an important meeting or meeting. In a confined space, a strong odor can cause headaches. The spirits must be allowed to disperse for at least an hour.

Gourmet scents are best suited for dating. For example, with vanilla, blackberries or other berries. Men love everything edible, and gourmet aromas are in their favor.

– How often should you change your perfume?

– There is addiction to fragrances, especially in men. They pick up established, classic scents and are rarely willing to take risks and change something. Women can also buy the same perfume for several years. Personally, I advise you not to run after fashion and not buy all the new items. It is better to have at home a certain perfume wardrobe of your favorite scents in order to choose a fragrance for the mood, on the occasion, and not use the only one.

BTW

If you are not feeling well, do not use heavy fragrances such as patchouli. Such a bouquet can give you a headache. But do not rush to say goodbye to the bottle. Give him a second chance when he feels better.

Why is it in winter that the smell of cinnamon, vanilla, tangerines is heard everywhere? The answer is simple: the aromas of spices and citrus are warming, sensual, cheerful. They help us keep warm and be in a good mood. Russian pop stars told about their favorite winter fragrances “Antenna”

Anna Sedokova

– I have not followed perfume brands and their novelties for a long time. I prefer to choose a fragrance according to my mood. Heavy, overly saturated sugary smells are not my option. I am for freshness! Especially in winter. When nature falls asleep, there is no greenery, it’s frosty outside, light aromas are sorely lacking. Therefore, I prefer unobtrusive scents, with hints of freshness of green leaves and citrus fruits.

Valeria

– I prefer sensual, feminine scents. I do not like sugary sweet. They give me a headache. In winter, you want warm, cozy smells, so in my perfume you can feel musk accords, mesmerizing spicy-woody aromas of vanilla and amber. As well as notes of orange, osmanthus and amber.

Irina Zabiyaka, soloist of the “Chi-Li” group

– I am a fan of natural, natural aromas, not synthesized and man-made. Recently, she began to use essential oils. I really love winter, snow, frost, and during this cool time I most often choose warm, home-like aromas, for example, vanilla, cinnamon. If I need to relax, I add a few drops of pine oil to the bath, if I cheer up, I choose oil with a citrus scent, it energizes the whole day. I also like to mix oils with moisturizers. For example, with body milk, which I use before bed.

Nadezhda Babkina

– I like heavy sweet aromas at any time of the year. In winter, they are perceived with a special feeling. When you enter a warm room from the cold, the bouquet opens up and envelops you with an atmosphere of sweetness and comfort. Coconut, vanilla, chocolate – these notes give a woman the magic and grandeur of a queen. I love to be surrounded by pleasant scents wherever I am, in the dressing room or studio.

Natalie

– This is the first time I use the newly donated Montale Crystal Flowers perfume. But they got very much into my winter today. They are floral, powdery, fresh, slightly sweet, slightly bitter and airy. This scent excites and soothes at the same time.
