Natural hand masks at home
Beautiful and well-groomed hands, as you know, are the business card of a woman. With the arrival of winter, they require special attention. That’s when natural masks come to the rescue at home.
Under the mask of affectionate care
Since the skin of the hands does not contain very many sebaceous glands, it quickly loses elasticity, becomes dry and rough, and eventually becomes covered with wrinkles and age spots. Daily contact with household chemicals, the skin of the hands is exposed to aggressive toxic substances, which makes it look sluggish and lifeless. In this respect, the benefits of natural masks are priceless. All of them contain a large number of useful elements that actively nourish and restore the skin. Fruits and vegetables are rich in enzymes that are not found in artificial creams. But it is these enzymes that accelerate the metabolic processes in the cells and tone the skin. In addition, natural masks have almost no side effects. Unless, of course, you are allergic to certain components. Before making such masks, it is necessary to clean the skin of the hands with a scrub, and after the procedure – apply a nourishing cream.
Healing food
So, what to make a natural mask for hands and nails? Since nutritious masks are especially relevant in winter, honey is the best helper in this case. Mix 3 tsp honey, 1 tsp olive oil and a few drops of lemon juice. With this mixture, rub your hands and nails, put on cellophane gloves and leave for 15-20 minutes. You can mix honey with egg yolk and 1 tsp oat flakes. We cover our hands with this mass, wrap them in cellophane and put on cotton gloves. For maximum benefit, it is advisable to leave this mask on all night.
Ordinary boiled potatoes also perfectly nourish the skin. Crush the potatoes and mix them with the milk. Apply the mask in a thick layer on your hands, put on cellophane gloves and leave for two hours. Ideal for nourishing fruit masks. Mash one banana and mix it with honey and a piece of butter. We lubricate the skin of the hands and nails with this gruel, put on gloves and wait for half an hour. If you have grapes at home, take a few berries, crush them and mix them with oatmeal. With this soft scrub, massage your hands thoroughly and leave for 15-20 minutes.
Life-giving hydration
How to make a natural mask for hands and nails with a moisturizing effect? Chop one cucumber, add 1 tbsp. l. fat sour cream, apply the resulting mass on your hands and stand for 30 minutes. This mask will also whiten the pigment spots well. You can take some strawberries, mix them with the same sour cream and add a few drops of olive oil. Apply the mask in a thin layer, leave for 20-25 minutes and rinse with cool water.
Aloe has excellent moisturizing properties. Turn a few fleshy leaves into a gel-like mush and add 1 tsp of honey. Apply the mask to the skin of the hands and nails for 20-30 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Green tea combined with cottage cheese can work wonders. Mix in a bowl 1 tbsp. l. strong decoction of green tea, 2 tbsp. spoons of cottage cheese, 1 tsp. olive oil and lemon zest. Cool the mask, apply to the skin of the hands and leave for half an hour. This recipe will also help in the matter of hydration. Thickly dilute 1 tbsp. l. cocoa in hot water, cool, enter 1 tbsp. l. glycerin and lubricate your hands. After 20 minutes, the mask can be washed off.
Radiant youth
Anti-aging natural masks at home will help to combat premature aging of the skin of the hands. One of the most effective is an oil mask. Mix 1 tsp of almond and linseed oil, add ½ tsp of crushed wheat sprouts and a few drops of lavender oil. Combine this mixture with a porridge of oatmeal and dilute with a lime decoction. Apply it to the skin of the hands and leave for 20-30 minutes. This mask smoothes and brightens the skin well, and also strengthens the nails.
Sea buckthorn mask also has a rejuvenating effect. A handful of sea buckthorn berries is crushed and mixed with a small amount of wheat flour. Apply the mass in a thick layer, put on cellophane gloves and leave for 30-40 minutes. One of the most “rejuvenating” fruits is the pear. We will need the pulp of one fruit, which we will combine with honey and olive oil. The mask is applied to the hands and nails with a thick layer and left for 15 minutes. Against fading and dullness of the skin, a peach will help. The pulp of the fruit is mixed with starch, smeared with mush hands for 20 minutes, then washed off with warm water.
Paraffin masks give excellent results. Cosmetic paraffin based on honey, fruit or oil warms the skin of the hands, tightens it and retains moisture. You can buy it at any pharmacy. Melt the paraffin in a water bath, cool slightly and immerse your hands in it. When it hardens, put on cellophane gloves, warm them with knitted mittens and leave for 30-40 minutes.
If you use natural masks for hands and nails regularly, you can quite save on visits to beauty salons. After all, the skin of the hands will already be smooth, fresh and well-groomed.
