Planting perennials that bloom all summer

When planting perennials, it is important to consider 3 points:

  • attitude to moisture – moisture-loving and drought-resistant plants cannot be planted nearby, because moisture-loving plants will have to be watered often, and excessive moisture will harm drought-resistant species;
  • attitude to light – shade-loving plants should be planted under trees and shrubs, light-loving – in open space, therefore, they should not grow instead;
  • combination with each other – it is important to take into account the size, shape of leaves and flowers – perennials should be in harmony with each other.

You can grow perennials from seeds, but it is more convenient to buy ready-made seedlings or seedlings – there you can figure out on the spot how a new plant will look in a flower garden and where it is better to plant it.

Caring for perennials that bloom all summer

Watering. Most perennial flowers are unpretentious, they do not require any special care. It is only important to water on time, especially in the heat, when moisture from the soil evaporates very quickly. And to prevent this from happening, it is better to mulch the flower garden – with humus, straw or hay. In this case, it will be enough to water them once a week.

Feeding. They also do without top dressing, but for good growth and lush flowering, top dressing does not hurt. It is best to use liquid complex fertilizers and water perennials with them once every 1 weeks from mid-May to mid-August.
