- “Feathery” is named for its delicate petals with ragged edges, which gives it a fluffy appearance. The size of the buds is about 3 cm. It can bloom several times per season. The bushes are dense, have a bluish tint, the height of the stem is 30-40 cm. The carnation smells good.
- “Gollandskaya” is the most popular variety. Greenhouse culture. In the middle lane, it blooms all season, except for the rainy season, in a warm climate – almost all year round. The height of the flower can be up to 1 m, but there are types of different lengths. Dwarf can be planted in pots on the windowsill.
- “Shabo” is distinguished by its large flowers and rich color palette. The shape of its leaves is so diverse that they create an outlandish pattern on the inflorescence. The plant has a pleasant aroma.
- “Turkish” – 30-60 cm high, but there are also undersized species up to 15 cm. The buds are collected in inflorescences 10-12 cm in size. The color palette is diverse. In addition to monochromatic plants, there are multi-colored ones – having several shades on one bud.
You can plant different varieties together or in separate groups. Dwarf species will decorate flowerpots and borders. You can plant them in flower pots. Tall bushes will form a separate composition in the flower beds.
Seed cloves should be planted in the spring. The air temperature should not fall below + 15 ° C. The soil needs neutral. Seeds must be planted in fertile soil in a lighted area. Suitable for carnation and partial shade. Planting depth – 1 cm. Before the sprouts appear, the seeds should be covered with polyethylene.
Carnation care consists of weeding, feeding and watering. It is necessary to feed the bushes with mineral fertilizers, they do not like manure. Pay attention to the nitrogen content: too much nitrogen will weaken the plant. Watering should be frequent, but not plentiful. Flowers cannot stand stagnation of water.
