Pepper Bucharest is suitable for growing on the windowsill or on the balcony of a city apartment. As a potted plant, it will grow up to 50 cm. Quite compact, semi-spreading, medium leafy. To form a bush, you just need to remove the side leaves and shoots before the first branching. In the apartment, choose windows where the plant will receive the maximum amount of light. Otherwise, you will have to use special lamps for additional lighting to avoid falling buds and ovaries. Bucharest variety can be grown in greenhouses and outdoors. In freedom, it grows up to 110 cm.
Seeds for seedlings for greenhouses and soil are planted in February. If you plan to grow the Bucharest variety on the windowsill, then any time frame is suitable. You can extend the life of the plant by transplanting from the garden to the pot. Seeds can be planted in peat tablets, in ready-made soil for seedlings, or you can make an earth mixture yourself. To do this, mix approximately equal parts of peat, humus, soil, sand. Arrange in containers, water well, make small indentations of 0,5 – 1 cm, place the seeds there, lightly sprinkle with soil.
Then shoots will appear in 7 – 8 days. Otherwise, the process may be delayed for 2-3 weeks.
For 40 – 50 days the plant becomes large enough. It is ready for transplanting into open ground or into a greenhouse in early May. For growing on the balcony you will need 5 liter pots.
Pepper Bucharest is an early ripening variety. It takes 110-115 days from germination to fruit production. You can please yourself and your loved ones with Bucharest peppers of an unusual purple color, but you can wait for the biological ripeness of the fruit, then their color will become bright red. The fruits are cone-shaped, weighing up to 150 g, 2-3 chambers, the surface is smooth, glossy. The thickness of the fruit walls is about 6 mm. They tolerate transportation well.
