Description
The fruits of the variety “Atlant” are very large. Their length reaches 26 cm. At the same time, the mass of each pepper can vary from 200 to 400 g. In cross section, the diameter of the fruit is approximately 8 cm. The average thickness of its walls is from 5 to 7 mm. The vegetable has the shape of a truncated pyramid, with several distinct edges. Its surface is smooth and glossy. The color of peppers at the ripening stage is green, upon reaching technical ripeness it becomes bright red. The skin of the vegetable is thin and tender. The taste qualities of Atlant pepper are excellent. Its pulp of moderate density has a sweetish taste and a pleasant fresh aroma. The composition of the vegetable includes a rich vitamin and microelement complex. Use peppers for cooking fresh salads, culinary dishes, canning. In this case, domestic breeding companies act as producers.
Variety “Atlant” is zoned for the central strip of Our Country. It is adapted for cultivation in open areas of soil and under film cover, in greenhouses, greenhouses. The culture is recommended to be grown on loose soils with abundant organic matter. The optimal microclimate is fairly dry air, moist soil and a temperature of +20-+250C. In domestic conditions, for the cultivation of peppers of the Atlant variety, it is necessary to use the seedling method.
It is recommended to sow seeds of the Atlant variety for seedlings in mid-March. It is previously recommended to germinate the seeds in a damp cloth or gauze patch. The temperature for the fastest germination of the seed should be slightly above +250C.
For growing seedlings, you should choose containers with a diameter of at least 10 cm. The best option in this case is peat pots, which can later be embedded in the ground without removing the plant and without injuring its root system. The soil for cultivating seedlings can be purchased ready-made or you can prepare the mixture yourself by mixing garden soil with peat, compost, sawdust (sand). Seedlings are planted in the ground, the age of which has reached 40-50 days. At the same time, the outdoor temperature regime should be stable, without the threat of prolonged cold snaps. Two weeks before picking, it is recommended to harden the plants by taking them outside. This will prepare young peppers for natural atmospheric conditions.

Pepper bushes “Atlant” are compact, but quite high (up to 1 m). That is why breeders recommend planting plants in the ground no thicker than 4 pcs / m2. During the growing season, plant care consists in regular watering, fertilizing, loosening.
