Recommendations for growing

The most important condition for obtaining an excellent harvest of this variety of sweet pepper is a properly prepared seedling. The best month for its preparation is February. Ali Baba’s seedlings should be prepared in the same way as for tomatoes. In addition, there are several recommendations, the implementation of which will allow you to get strong and healthy seedlings of the Ali Baba sweet pepper variety:

  1. Only live seeds should be planted. Live seeds can be identified by immersing them in water. Only those seeds that have sunk to the bottom are suitable for planting. Floating seeds are empty and will not be able to germinate, so they can be thrown away.
  2. Seeds suitable for planting are soaked for several days in water.
Advice! Any growth stimulant can be added to the water. This will not only increase the rate of germination, but also increase the immunity of future plants.
  3. Hardening seedlings is a mandatory procedure when planting in open beds. For planting in greenhouses, hardening is desirable, but not necessary. In order to harden young plants, they need to provide a night temperature of 10 to 13 degrees.

Following these simple recommendations will allow you to get strong seedlings of Ali Baba sweet pepper.

Plants of this variety are planted in a permanent place in May – June. To ensure normal growth, at least 40 cm should be left between adjacent plants. The same distance should be between their rows.

Caring for sweet pepper bushes of the Ali Baba variety includes:

  • Regular watering. For him, you should take only warm settled water. Each plant should have 1 to 2 liters of water. At the same time, top watering is possible only before the beginning of the budding period. During flowering and until the end of the harvest, watering should be carried out only under the base of the bush.
  • Top dressing with mineral and organic fertilizers. Its frequency should not exceed 2 times a month. Fertilizers are applied only under the bush, so as not to damage the foliage.
  • Loosening and weeding.
Advice! Mulching the soil will avoid regular weeding and loosening. In addition, it will help retain moisture in the ground and regulate the temperature of the soil.

This year, Ali Baba chose sweet pepper for planting in the greenhouse – the reviews about it were pretty good. The seedlings were planted in early June, regularly watered and fertilized at the beginning of flowering with mineral fertilizer. The harvest was not only big, but huge. We didn’t know where to put them. At the same time, all the bushes began to bear fruit at once, 7-9 fruits each. They taste very juicy. I can recommend Ali Baba, he pleased me.

I plant Ali Baba for the second year, and again I am surprised at its productivity. True, this year it turned out that some peppers grew with their tips up, although they should all be down. They say that this happened due to pollination with neighboring varieties, but this did not affect the taste of the fruit.
