Pelethrocin is a drug used in venous insufficiency of the lower extremities. Diosmin contained in the preparation has a protective, anti-swelling and anti-inflammatory effect on varicose veins. Treatment with the preparation should be symptomatic and short-term. The drug in the form of coated tablets in the pharmacy is issued on prescription.

Pelethrocin – indications and dosage
The indications for Pelethrocin are: venous insufficiency of the lower extremities (symptomatic treatment) and treatment of ailments related to haemorrhoids.
Dosage
- Usually orally, during meals, 2 tablets / day (morning and evening).
- Ailments related to haemorrhoids: 6 tablets a day (2 tablets 3 times a day) for 4 days, then 4 tablets a day (2 tablets 2 times a day) for 3 consecutive days.
Contraindications to the use of Pelethrocin
A contraindication to taking Pelethrocin is an allergy to any of its ingredients.
Pelethrocin – warnings
- It should be remembered that treatment with Pelethrocin is only symptomatic and should be short-term.
- It should be remembered that in the treatment of venous circulation disorders in the lower extremities, an appropriate lifestyle may increase the effectiveness of the preparation, in particular: avoiding sun exposure, avoiding standing for a long time, wearing special stockings, maintaining an appropriate weight.
- There are no data on the safety of Pelethrocin in pregnant and breastfeeding women.
- The preparation is not recommended for pregnant women (especially in the first trimester) and during breastfeeding.
- There are no data on the effect of Pelethrocin on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery / equipment.
Pelethrocin – interactions
There are no known interactions of Pelethrocin with other drugs.
Pelethrocin – side effects
They can occur: diarrhea, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, dizziness and headache, malaise, rash, itching, urticaria. In case of mild gastrointestinal side effects and neurovegetative disorders, treatment discontinuation is not required.
