Preparing and cleaning mussels

Pickled mussels are one of the most delicious dishes made from this seafood. They can be eaten alone, added to a salad, or combined with croutons. You can marinate mussels with or without vinegar.

To marinate clams with vinegar you will need:

– 0,5 kg of mussels – incomplete glass of water – 1 tablespoon of 9% table vinegar – 2 tablespoons of sugar – salt

Thaw the clams. Boil them in salted water for 3-4 minutes. Prepare the marinade. To do this, dissolve sugar and salt in boiled water, pour in vinegar.

Place the mussels in the hot marinade and they will be ready to eat in an hour. You can pack mussels in jars and season with vegetable oil.

To marinate mussels without vinegar you will need:

– 0,5 kg of mussels – 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil – lemon – 150 ml of dry white wine – 1 clove of garlic – 1 teaspoon of mustard – 1 teaspoon of honey – pepper – salt – bay leaves – dill and cilantro

Defrost the frozen mussels. Prepare the clam sauce. To this end, boil the wine, add unmilled garlic, bay leaf, pepper to it. Boil the mussels for 4 minutes from the moment they boil, then discard them in a colander.

For the marinade, chop the herbs, add oil, lemon juice, mustard, pepper, salt. Transfer the still-warm bay leaf mussels to the marinade and refrigerate for 5 hours.
