The problem of pedophilia in our society today is very acute and widely condemned. When a normal adult hears the word «pedophile», he imagines a man drooling over a child and committing violent sexual acts with him.
Pedophilia in the international classification of diseases is listed in section F65.4 — «disorders of sexual preference» and is designated as a form of sexual deviation, characterized by sexual attraction to children. This attraction can either be realized in practice or never turn into actions in relation to the child.
It also happens that a person who has committed sexual acts with a child is not a pedophile. This occurs as part of other deviations (deviations). For example, a male sociopath (one who ignores social norms and rules of behavior, in simple words — “what I want, I do”). Such a person feels permissiveness and commits violent acts with everyone with whom he pleases. He can beat and rape his wife, have sex with a neighbor, a dog, and, seeing a teenage girl who has taken shape, commit violence against her. In this case, he does not experience sexual attraction specifically to children, but realizes his momentary «Wishlist», that is, he does not suffer from pedophilia.
Another example is when marriages with underage girls are practiced in Islamic countries. There, violence against children is a kind of ethno-cultural component and is characterized by a general consumer attitude towards the female sex of any age. Therefore, sexual activities with a ten-year-old wife are not necessarily pedophilia, that is, an attraction to a child’s body. The child in this case is perceived as property with which you can do whatever you want.
Child abuse can also be committed under the influence of psychoactive substances by a person with no true attraction to children. For example, a sexually abusive father under the influence of drugs takes and rapes his one-year-old daughter. Or a mother who has caught a “squirrel” inserts various objects into the anus of her five-year-old son. Such people then say that they do not understand how this happened. They are rightly called «scum» in society, but they are not pedophiles.
Thus, pedophiles are those who experience exactly the sexual attraction to the children’s body. That is, they are excited by thinking about the child, about touching him, about sexual contact. Pedophilia is multifaceted and often co-occurs with other personality disorders. Pedophilia is not synonymous with violence. When it comes to physical abuse of a child by a person who has a sexual attraction to children, then here we must talk about a combination of pathologies, including sadism. Pedophilia can also go in combination with fetishism (attraction to objects), voyeurism (peeping), exhibitionism (demonstration of an erect penis).
«Pure» pedophiles are not oriented towards violence, they like to seduce a child and incline to sexual contact. They talk about true love and relationships with children, about the need for careful intimate actions and not harming the child’s psyche. They are excited by the interest and attention of the child to their person, they are sure that they help children develop sexuality and receive useful and pleasant experience. A kind of «good wizards», lamenting in discussions with like-minded people about the injustice and stupidity of a society that condemns their «virtue».
Yes, they have communities on the Internet — forums and websites where they share their experiences, photos and tips on how to “roll up” to a child and go unnoticed, not leave marks on his body, teach him to swallow sperm. It is much better to get a job (closer to the children), what to say at interviews, how to communicate with the child so that he does not reveal their “secrets”.
For obvious reasons, I will not give links, I will only say that the fight against such resources is carried out by activists on a regular basis and, unfortunately, not very successfully. Why is it necessary to fight content that promotes pedophilia? Because any propaganda can influence a person. Sexual preferences of people tend to change and turn into paraphilias (disorders). Today, people unite on the Internet according to their interests, get motivation and support there, draw ideas and advice from there, change their own beliefs, rely on anonymity. This can lead to both acting out fantasies in creative self-expression and real crimes.
By the nature of my activity, I know cases when thematic resources negatively influenced and pushed a person to action. Example 1. A man who had never before experienced attraction to children experienced an erection from the occasional touch of a ten-year-old daughter. He felt confused and ashamed, went to the Internet to read, «is everything all right with him.» He ended up on a pedophile forum, where he was convinced that this was “normal” and “we should check and try.” And he tried. Example 2. A man who has been attracted to children since his youth, who has never previously committed any sexual activity in relation to children. He was aware of the inadmissibility and was content with masturbation and fantasies. He was married, raised his wife’s adult son from his first marriage. When I got to the pedophile forum for the first time at the age of 52, after reading the “manual” and the advice of the “experienced”, I discovered the possibility of realizing my needs. Implemented on a five-year-old granddaughter.
Does this mean that without getting into the appropriate forums, these people would not have committed a crime? No, it doesn’t. The mechanisms of motives and actions are individual. But in the examples above, the topical resources and recommendations “helped” the men “get ahead.” Not only men, but also women can suffer from pedophilia. It is easier for them to hide their preferences and they look more natural in a children’s environment.
