PectoDrill is a drug used in diseases of the lungs and respiratory system, it has an expectorant effect. The preparation is available in the form of lozenges upon presentation of a prescription.

PectoDrill indications for use
PectoDrill is used in the symptomatic treatment of respiratory diseases with excessive production of thick and sticky secretions. The active substance of the drug is carbocysteine - an organic chemical compound with a mucolytic effect. PectoDrill is available as lozenges. It should not be used just before bedtime.
Dosage:
- Adults: 20-30 mg per kg of body weight daily in 2-3 divided doses; 750 mg (1 tablet) 3 times a day; in the case of a need for longer use, the doctor will reduce the dose to 1,5 g per day.
PectoDrill and contraindications
Contraindication to the use of PectoDrill is hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation, active gastric or duodenal ulcer disease and phenylketonuria. It is not recommended to use the preparation during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
