Pearly penile papules – diagnosis and treatment

Syn.: Papillae coronariae glands, pearly penile papules, hirsutoid papillomas of the penis, papillomatosis coronae penile.

Def .: Small, pearly pearly papules located on the border between the glans and the gastric groove, being a normal developmental variant in men after puberty.

Epid .: Changes occur in a few to a dozen or so percent of healthy men.

Pat .: Not known.

Lock: Crown of acorns, gut groove, frenulum.

Clinical: Small, dome-shaped lumps flesh-pearly in color.

Hist .: Changes of the nature of angiofibromas.

DR: Genital warts, cutaneous polyps.

But: They do not require treatment, and can be removed by laser or coagulation for cosmetic reasons.
