Growing pear varieties “Maria”

One of the reasons why pears are so popular is their simplicity. By following simple rules, you can grow a good fruitful tree and increase your yield. Observe the following guidelines:

  • Choose acidic soil for planting. The tree is difficult to tolerate alkaline soil.
  • Watch the formation of the crown. If it stretches up and grows narrow, pull the branches down and fix at right angles to the trunk. The correct crown will form during the year.
  • Water the pear abundantly. The most acceptable method of irrigation is in furrows.
  • Feed the tree as it grows and ripens.
  • Prune old branches in time to rejuvenate the crown.

By adhering to the above rules, you will get an excellent harvest, which will increase as the tree matures.

Low compact “Maria” looks decorative on the garden plot. The variety feels good in thickened plantings. It can be combined with quince. The fruits are stored in the basement until February, in the refrigerator until May.

During the cultivation of the “Maria” pear, gardeners did not find any significant shortcomings in it. One tree is able to provide several families with tasty and healthy fruits at once.
