The peanuts were grown by the team of prof. Soheili Maleki without the use of genetic manipulation, thanks to the appropriate crossing of various varieties. They have a reduced level of allergenic proteins, and some allergens have been completely eliminated.
People allergic to peanuts often develop respiratory problems and, in severe cases, life-threatening anaphylactic shock. That is why many products have warning inscriptions – May contain peanuts. Hypoallergenic peanuts would be safer for those who are already allergic, and in the case of young children, they would prevent allergies.
