You need to fry the peanuts in a deep, thick-walled pan of a large enough size. Nuts should not lie too thick, this is a guarantee that they all roast well.
Pour the prepared kernels into the pan and place on the stove. Roast the peanuts over moderate heat, stirring occasionally with a wooden spatula. The whole process will take 10-15 minutes. Be careful not to burn the kernels. You can check the readiness by breaking one nut; it should acquire a uniform light beige shade.
Cool the finished nuts a little and rub between your palms, the husks will easily come off the kernels. Return the peanuts to the pan, reheat, sprinkle with fine salt to taste and mix well.
Salted peanuts can be prepared in a different way. In a deep bowl, combine a glass of water and a teaspoon of fine salt. Shell the nuts and place them in a container of brine. Leave for half an hour, drain the water and dry the kernels a little.
Heat some vegetable oil in a skillet and add the peanuts. Stir, fry for 10-15 minutes, then pour into a bowl, cool and serve.
Homemade sweets: peanuts with sugar
Sweet nuts are a great option for a light snack. Peanuts can be sweetened with caramel syrup or powdered sugar. Before processing, the kernels should be peeled from the film. Pour boiling water over them for 5 minutes, then drain the water and remove the softened husks from the nuts with your hands.
Dry the kernels by sprinkling them on a towel. Place the nuts in a skillet and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour the icing sugar into the hot peanuts to taste, stir and place in a bowl.
Try another option for making sweet nuts. You will need: – 500 g of peanuts; – 1/2 cup sugar; – 1 tablespoon of butter.
Pour sugar into a deep frying pan, add butter. While stirring, cook the mixture until it turns brown. Pour the peanuts into the caramel and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Put the finished delicacy on a greased plate, cool and break into pieces. Serve with tea or coffee.
