Cheating wife
Even before the Great Patriotic War, a young family lived in the village. Fedor worked as a tractor driver, his wife Alla was a cook on a collective farm. They had a daughter, they lived together, in abundance, which at that time was a rarity.
When the war began, the tractor driver was immediately called up to the front. He served in the landing force, received many awards, and then rose to the rank of officer. Meanwhile, Alla had an affair with her colleague, a chef.
She wrote long letters to her husband at the front, in which she said that she and her daughter were living very badly, they were starving, although it was pure lie. The spouse replied: sell things, something from household utensils, but eat normally with your daughter, he sent her money.
After a while, Fedor received a short leave for military services. The lover-cook, when he found out that Fyodor had arrived in the village, hid in the cellar and did not leave there until his departure.
Alla ran away from home. The man could not find her in any way to just talk. Then he bribed the neighbors’ boys by giving them some money, and they named the address where his unfaithful wife was hiding.
Fedor went to that address. The hostess refused to let him in, but he threatened to break down the door. The woman opened it. Alla wanted to hide behind the door so that when he entered the house, she would quickly run out into the street behind him. But it was not there. He’s a paratrooper!
Missing person
It was Saturday, the village men smoking on the bench became involuntary witnesses of the tragedy.
The husband took his wife by the hand and led her out into the street. Then he let her go, she ran. Then the man took out his pistol and fired. The woman, by inertia, took a couple more steps and fell to the ground. Fyodor was shot several more times to be sure.
Then he went up to the men and asked for a smoke. They gave him a cigarette, but his fingers did not obey – the men themselves lit it and gave it to Fedor. He took a tight drag. All were silent.
And what can I say? Then Fedor took his daughter to his parents and went to the front. Since then, nothing is known about his fate.
Although there were different rumors about him. Someone said that he was judged after all. And the rest claimed that, having arrived at the front, Fyodor disappeared without a trace a few days later.
