Parliament

The Parliament vodka brand is owned by Roust Group (formerly Russian Standard), the largest integrated producer and distributor of alcoholic beverages in Central and Eastern Europe. Vodka is produced by the Parliament Production plant located in Balashikha near Moscow. Annual sales of vodka brands produced by the RUST holding exceed 30 million cases. “Parliament” is represented in more than 40 countries, including Austria, Greece, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland. In Germany, according to the expert agency Nielsen, it is the best-selling premium vodka.

Historical reference. The year 1999 was taken as a starting point in the history of the brand: the project itself to create a new premium quality vodka arose four years earlier, but the economic crisis prevented the launch of the product on the market. The choice of name was influenced by the fact that the word “parliament” sounds almost the same in most European languages.

The ideological message implied that the drink would play the role of a parliamentarian who could unite people living in different countries and holding different views.

The production of vodka was carried out by the vodka plant “Urozhay”, on the basis of which the company “Parliament Group” was created. In 2008, the brand was acquired by the Polish alcohol holding Central European Distribution Corporation. A year later, according to the results of a study conducted by Online Market Intelligence, Parliament vodka entered the TOP-20 of Russia’s favorite brands. In the same period, the brand became the absolute leader among premium segment vodkas imported to Germany. In 2013, the CEDC holding was taken over by Roust Trading, owned by Rustam Tariko. A year later, he merged all his brands into the Roust Group.

Interesting Facts

In the early years of the brand’s existence, manufacturers did not shy away from aggressive advertising and product placement. The money invested in the filming of the Russian-American film “Moscow Heat” paid off: throughout the entire action, the heroes of the action movie drank exclusively vodka “Parliament”, and this fact did not go unnoticed by the audience.

At the beginning of its history, the Parliament Group often acted as a partner at events with a scandalous reputation – for example, the Silver Galosh anti-award ceremony. In 2010, the organizers of this event were heavily fined for inappropriate advertising of alcoholic beverages.

Today, the brand prefers to support respectable cultural and sporting events – fashion shows, prestigious golf tournaments.

Types of vodka Parliament

Parliament Classic, 40%

Grain alcohol of natural fermentation and crystal clear water form the basis of the recipe of this vodka, which has collected a large collection of awards from international tasting competitions. What makes this drink unique is the technology of biological filtration with milk, which coagulates impurities and fusel oils. Milk not only cleans vodka, but also brings certain shades to its bouquet, making it more delicate. The aroma of medium intensity captures bread and pepper notes. The taste is rich, with a slight sharpness and unobtrusive characteristic bitterness.

Parliament International, 40%

Premium vodka, awarded with many prestigious awards and appreciated by consumers for its particularly mild taste. The success is based on the use of alcohol from a selected grain mixture and multi-stage purification technology, including filtration with egg whites. This process allows you to remove all harmful impurities from the water-alcohol blend and minimize the possible manifestations of a hangover syndrome. It has a fresh aroma with a predominance of grain and cereal tones, complemented by sweetish shades of meadow herbs. The taste is clean, invigorating, with a light spicy plume.

Parliament New Classic, 40%

A new product of the brand, for the production of which a unique phyto-purification technology is used using oatmeal broth. Vegetable protein, combined with a water-alcohol solution, binds impurities, after which the resulting suspension is removed. The choice of water for blending also plays an important role – it is extracted from an artesian well located at a depth of 250 meters. The result is an immaculately clear vodka, without foreign inclusions and sediment. The taste is soft, not burning, without sharp alcohol tones. On the table, smoked meat, boiled pork, pickled peppers, and pickles are suitable for a drink as an appetizer.

Tincture “Parliament honey with pepper”, 40%

The tincture is positioned as “bitter”, but its complex bouquet harmoniously combines the sweetness of meadow honey and hot notes of pepper. Licorice root extract and lime blossom infusion included in the composition make their contribution to the aromatics of the drink. Each bottle contains a small pod of red pepper, the presence of a dispenser will not allow it to slip into the stack. It has a bright and rich taste: light bitterness is balanced by sweet tones. It is important to choose the right gastronomic accompaniment for the tincture: it is suitable for dishes that are traditionally served with horseradish – boiled tongue, aspic, white fish.

Parliament Black Currant, 40%

Vodka flavored with infusion of fruits, twigs and leaves of black currant. Milk filtration technology provides ultra-fine cleaning of the product, giving it a special softness and crystal transparency. It has a pronounced smell of fresh berries and currant jam, which neutralizes the pure grain notes. The taste is whole and round, fruity sweetness, slight sourness and spice are noticeable in it. The drink is an excellent base for original cocktails, goes well with lime and tonic.
