Pamplona Negra arrives with Rock and Gastronomy

The Black Pamplona Festival will again delve into the literary world of crime and mystery in this second edition, having as guest actors two excellent collaborators in this type of event, Music and Food.

During the days 19 to 23 of January, we will be able to attend a new reenactment of the crime scene, which was so successful in participation in the last edition of the contest, with the important novelty that on this occasion the agents of the Scientific Police of the Navarra Provincial Police, will show their work on a literary stage, such as that of the Baztán Trilogy.

Literature and cinematography are the main activities of the contest, but the entry of new exponents such as the rock and gastronomy They give a much more versatile scope to the objective of the exhibition, which, being of a truly original nature, makes it a really important tourist attraction for this beginning of the year.

There will be no shortage of the Black Cinema, which from the hand of those responsible for the programming of the event, the Navarra Film Library, they have proposed a series of projections that is not very usual within the cinephile-iterary theme.

The conference of the journalist and writer, Yanet Acosta, is a good example of this, and in its content it will talk about the importance of food in the crime novel, National and international.

Another key part to understand the vision of gastronomy in the crime novel will be the examples and monographs dedicated to the well-known detectives of the general public such as Pepe Carvalho or Commissioner Montalbano, characters of Manuel Vázquez Montalbán and Andrea Camilleri respectively, who did not disdain any succulent culinary delicacy as a true source of inspiration for their deliberations and research.

We can savor this same source in the cooking show to be served next in the Hotel Tres Reyes of Pamplona. led by the Navarrese chef Enrique Martinez.

To accompany the novel and gastronomic acts, the music could not be better selected, and with the help of journalist Javier Manzano, he will show us, through dramatized readings, songs and video clips that have influenced the Spanish crime novel, always at a rhythm of Rock & Roll.
