Painting on glass with stained glass paints

The hostess at the dacha undoubtedly needs help. For example, to facilitate the process of serving lunch or dinner. The best way to handle this, of course, is a tray.

Our decorator used a floral composition to decorate it, but you can choose any other theme you like. The order of work will not change from this. Unless you need other paints for painting glass.

For work we need:

  • transparent plastic tray;
  • paint-contour for glass;
  • paints for painting glass;
  • sketch of the drawing;
  • brushes;
  • sheet (leaf) gold;
  • masking tape.

For work you need: a transparent plastic tray, paint-contour for glass, paints for painting glass, a sketch of a drawing, brushes, sheet (leaf) gold, masking tape.

Using masking tape, the sketch of the drawing is fixed on the back of the tray.

Then, using a paint-contour for glass, the drawing is transferred to the surface to be decorated. After the composition dries up, paint the tray.

Between the application of paints of different colors, small pauses are made – for the duration of the complete drying of the previous composition.

The rest of the tray is treated differently: yellow paint is applied to it and left to dry to a sticky state.

Then a sheet of gold leaf is glued to the tray. With the help of a brush, gold is “broken” into small fragments, creating a patina effect. The resulting surface is tinted with yellow paint. The work has been completed.
