Pain in the navel: how to eliminate?

The navel is an organ that people need during intrauterine development. In adulthood, it is not so important for the growth of the body. However, unpleasant pain in the navel can be a signal of a serious illness.

Belly button pain can signal bowel disease. It can be an inflammatory process, a bacterial disorder such as enteritis. Inflammation of the colon can be accompanied by loose stools, flatulence, fever, nausea, and vomiting.

Often, such painful sensations indicate acute appendicitis. You need to immediately contact a surgeon, and it is best to call an ambulance.

Remember that delay can cost you your life in acute appendicitis.

An unpleasant sensation in the navel can be a signal of a hernia. This disease can be accompanied by vomiting, nausea, and constipation. In such a situation, only a specialist can help the patient.

If the pain is vague, this may indicate a disease such as abdominal migraine. In addition to pain in a person, the limbs turn pale, become cold. Diarrhea and nausea appear.

With volvulus, the navel begins to ache suddenly. The pain is acute, sometimes cramping. Often, with the disease, vomiting and constipation appear. In this case, it is necessary to consult a surgeon. In the most severe cases, surgery can be applied to the patient.

There are other diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, a symptom of which is pain in the navel, for example, enterocolitis, gastroenteritis. In any case, you must immediately consult a doctor.

If you feel an unpleasant odor from the navel and see discharge, consult a specialist, because this may be caused by the formation of a cyst or the development of omphalitis.

If the navel hurts in a pregnant woman, this may be the reason for the intensive growth of the abdomen or uterus. In any case, you should tell your gynecologist about this.

Pain can only be relieved after a diagnosis has been made. For example, if you have enteritis, you need to refuse food for knocking. In the following days, you should introduce foods gradually. Also, the doctor may prescribe any antispasmodic drug, such as “No-shpa”. With appendicitis and hernia, you can get rid of pain only after surgery.

If you prefer to treat diseases with traditional medicine, you should consult with your doctor. Herbal medicine certainly helps in some cases, but not for appendicitis or volvulus.

In case of severe pain, call an ambulance.

Doctors do not advise to relieve pain before the arrival of doctors, because this can prevent them from making a diagnosis at the first examination. However, if the pain is unbearable, take an antispasmodic.
