The Taiga gas boiler is a product of the Russian company Termotechnik, a worthy alternative to foreign analogues. It features a thoughtful design and high-quality assembly. Taiga heaters have Italian-made automation, thanks to which they meet European safety standards.

What are the boilers “Taiga”
Heaters from Termotechnik differ:
- The number of contours. The single-circuit version works exclusively for heating buildings. The double-circuit option, in addition to heating, simultaneously provides the house with hot water for domestic needs.

How safe are they
Until a certain time, gas equipment had a serious drawback – a high risk of accidents. Today this issue is solved with the help of automation. The rate of hot water heating, during the operation of the second circuit, reaches 440 l / h at maximum power. All modifications are united by an important characteristic for consumers – affordable prices.
KS-G 10DS
This is the most low-power floor apparatus. Single-circuit without hot water supply. Its characteristics:

KS-G-12,5 DS
Boiler “Taiga 12.5” – floor model with a capacity of 12 watts. One circuit. Its characteristics:

Parapet
In addition to floor models, the manufacturer offers parapet versions for heating chimney-free housing. They can vary in shape, size and body design. Installation is possible anywhere – on the floor or on the wall. Closed firebox. Burners are put different: one-, two-level or modulating.
Material of heat exchangers – cast iron, copper, steel. In “Taiga” they are steel. The removal of gases occurs through a coaxial chimney. Ignition any – piezo or electronic. All modifications have an ergonomic and stylish design, high technical characteristics. Heat exchangers are treated with anti-corrosion powder coating. The composition of the powder does not contain toxic or flammable substances.
Features of parapet models
They are used for heating and for heating hot water. Power is 15–45 kW. A parapet heating boiler is a chimney-free non-volatile device used primarily for heating households and apartments that do not have traditional chimneys. The main difference of any parapet model is a closed firebox. The latter is isolated, so the air of the room where the equipment is located is not used during operation.
“Thermotechnician” produces parapet modifications “Taiga Zh7-KS”. They are mounted in buildings without vertical chimneys, including apartments. To remove the products of combustion, a coaxial chimney with forced draft is equipped, an electric fan is running.
Zh7-KS-GS-7,0 S

Installation
The manual details the ignition process. The launch is performed after installation and strapping. Correct installation must be checked by the gas service. Before igniting the boiler, a number of preparatory and installation work should be performed:
- Avoid proximity to flammable materials.
- Connect cold water, remove the plugs from the nozzles. At the inlet, put a filter and a ball valve to protect the system from clogging that can cause malfunctions.
- Ball valves are mounted on all pipes involved in the piping.
- The gas pipes are connected by gas workers, they perform the connection and installation of the meter.
- Laying a power line for volatile models. Make a separate outlet.
- Installation work related to the removal of combustion products is determined by the type of furnace. There are atmospheric or turbocharged models.
- Disconnecting the device from the power supply, fill the system with coolant. Check if there are any leaks. Before the first ignition, all components of the system must be carefully checked.
Strapping scheme
What the strapping should provide:
- Coolant pressure stability.
- Removal of air from the coolant. If an air lock is formed, the liquid does not pass through it. You need to know how to tie the system correctly. Be sure to install air vents.
- Purification of the coolant from contaminants that impair functioning. The solution is to install filters.
- Compensation for the expansion of the coolant due to heating – you need to install an expansion tank.
In the simplest piping scheme – with one circuit – a check valve with a ball valve is mounted on the supply side. The pump is installed on the return or discharge pipes, as it is necessary to force the liquid to circulate through the system. In front of the pump include a strainer. A filter is also needed at the inlet of the coolant to the boiler. An expansion tank with a membrane is placed nearby to relieve excess pressure arising from the expansion of the coolant.
The latter, circulating, enters the radiators. There is a second piping option, more relevant, when the coolant passes through a collector that distributes liquid along the circuits. The presence of a safety valve is mandatory: if the coolant boils, the expansion tank may not withstand high pressure. The valve protects against possible risks:
- rupture of pipes and the formation of leaks;
- rupture of fittings;
- device explosion.

The main advantages are low cost and compactness. The disadvantage is that it happens that it goes out and does not flare up the first time. Having listened to the advice, we bought the Taiga, painted the boiler reliable. In fact, it turned out – a lot of problems. The most unpleasant thing is to kindle it. It happens that you light the wick several times until the burner flares up. The wick goes out on its own. Dissatisfied with the choice.

We have long wanted to change the old-style boiler for a more obedient and economical one. We chose the outdoor option. We have a boiler, so we installed a single-circuit boiler. Attracted by the cost and simplicity of design. It does not have super functions, as in European counterparts, but it works properly. There were no problems during the season. A powerful device capable of heating our large house in the most severe frosts.
