The encrypted code contains information that allows the buyer to choose one or another model. In our article, you will learn how to correctly decode the Hotpoint Ariston washer code.

What does the serial number on the washing machine body mean? They may vary depending on the type of SM.

Initially, washing machines of the Merloni concern were produced under the Ariston brand. But after the merger with Hotpoint, they wanted to rename the brand. Since Ariston washing machines were in great demand in Russia and the CIS countries, the name was not removed, so today you can find Hotpoint Ariston machines.

Ariston AQUALTIS series

A more advanced line of washing machines with advanced functionality. Decoding on the model example AQS0F 05S CIS.

• The designation AQ indicates a series of washing machines – AQUALTIS. It can also be QV.
• The next symbol S means that the washer body is narrow. Unlike standard models, narrow ones have their advantages. They can be installed in rooms with limited space. However, it is believed that closely spaced parts inside wear out faster.
• The number 0 means that the capacity of the drum is 6 kg. The number 1 has the same meaning. In other cases, the symbols correspond exactly to the download size. For example, 7 means 7 kg, 8 means 8 kg, 9 means 9 kg, 10 means 10 kg, 11 means 11 kg. 86 = 8 + 6 kg (including drying), 97 – 9 + 7 kg (drying), 107 – 10 + 7 kg and 117 – 11 + 7 kg (drying).
• The letter F indicates the type of control of the washer.
• The combination of symbols 05S indicates the design of a particular model.
• The letters at the end – CIS – will tell you the country of origin of the CMA. In this case, it is Russia.

• QV, as you understand, means the AQUALTIS release series.
• Next comes the letter S. As in the first case, it indicates the depth of the case. This is a narrow washing machine.
• Then the differences begin. The symbol E indicates the method of controlling the washer (electronic, mechanical).
• The number 8 means the degree of loading of the drum. This model can hold 8 kg of dirty laundry.
• The number 12 will tell you the spin power. In this case, it reaches 1200 rpm.
• The number 9 indicates the design of this series.
• The letter U indicates the color of the loading hatch.

Model AQ XX MD 12 9 HS HA, where:

• AQ is, as always, a model, a series.
• XX – capacity 7,5 kg (X – 6 kg, G – 8 kg, S – narrow by 4,5 kg).
• M – the presence of drying. Maybe LF is an automatic detergent dispenser.
• D – LCD display, L – LED, F – digital display.
• 12 – spin power 1200 rpm.
• 9 – Super Silent (quiet operation). It can also be 5 – No Super Silent, 8 – 3-phase motor and tank lighting.
• N – additional box.

Additionally, new characters may appear in this series, depending on the functionality:

• The first two letters WM indicate the way the laundry is loaded – front. If AR is indicated at the beginning, then the loading is carried out vertically.

• The number 0 indicates the design of the washer body – white. S – silver, K – black, B – white with black sunroof.
• The penultimate letter B indicates the color of the hatch. For example: X – stainless steel, BS – white with a gray hatch, BX – white with a stainless hatch.
• The last letter combination CIS indicates that the machine was manufactured in the Russian Federation.
