Slow juicers are getting more and more popular. On the web, I could see that there is now something for all tastes and all budgets. Among the mid-range devices, I recently came across Oscar’s Neo DA 1000 model.

Today I am going to introduce this extractor to you and give you a little bit of how it works. You will also get an overview of its advantages and disadvantages.

Let’s start by seeing together the characteristics of this household appliance. Its unboxing brings me face to face with a versatile juice extractor with a classic horizontal design.

Impressive functions

Professional or multipurpose juicers are generally known for their high quality functions. Oscar’s model is no exception to the rule! Before placing the first ingredients, I took the trouble to peel what is in the package. High pressure will help make juices more subtle. In fact, low pressure will make the juices thicker.

My first tests focus on oranges and lemons, essential ingredients for summer, and whose taste is easily altered by poor quality extractors.

No need to peel them or to carry out a special preparation: this extractor has the ability to extract their juice without the taste of the skin distorting the juice. Apart from processing fruits and vegetables, this device can be used to make fresh pasta, hummus or purees.

Practical versatility

The Neo DA 1000 displays a versatility that is nice to see. The tips that are integrated into the main package offer the possibility of preparing several ingredients without wasting time or making colossal efforts.

Until now, I hadn’t thought about making butter with a juicer. The characteristics of this model, however, prompted me to give it a go with two ingredients.

I started with crème fraîche to see if the process would take less time than with an electric mixer. This was indeed the case, even if the low speed of rotation of this extractor gave me the impression that the cream was going to turn.

After a few minutes, I got a light and creamy butter. No floating fat, no “hollow”… I would recommend this machine if you want to invest in a tool that is more efficient than a traditional blender.

A stable and practical device

Not always having time to cook as much as I would like, I can only take 15 minutes each morning to make my breakfasts. With this device, I managed to make my meals in much less time.

The Neo DA 1000 is easy to use and is quite practical. For example, I usually treat each ingredient separately before mixing them. During my tests, I tried to integrate them all at once to see if their flavor does not give an incomprehensible mixture.

The result is just stunning! My green juices are even better than what I usually do on other devices. The shock mix to test: peanut butter, cucumber, spinach, pineapple, lemon and apple.

This energizing blend doesn’t allow for rough extractions, and I have to say, I didn’t expect to get a drink that was as light as it was tasty.

With its 150W and 80 revolutions per minute, the Neo DA 1000 is not made to attack your ears. As soon as the ignition is switched on, you will notice that no noise is heard.

It’s just magic! Okay, other devices achieve this performance … what makes this device unique is that it has wide feet that maximize its stability.

Advantages and disadvantages of the Neo DA 1000

This device is one of the most interesting that I have had to test so far. His qualities were convincing.

These weak points are not however bothersome, and did not prevent me from taking advantage of the Neo DA 1000 Oscar to process a maximum of ingredients.

The opinion of Internet users

This versatile extractor model is one of the most popular among Internet users. Many of them share my opinion on its effectiveness as well as its usefulness in a kitchen.

Of course, you can also find mixed opinions, in particular on the difficulty encountered with soft products. For some, the machine would have only painfully managed to make pasta when it is one of the things he should do without a hitch.

This model is also one of the best rated in its category, and stands out for its ease of use.

I would recommend this device if you are looking for a price range above the Neo DA 1000, and want to invest in lasting quality.

Our conclusion

The Neo DA 1000 is positioned among the slow juicers that deserve the initial investment. Not very complex and robust, it will be a good ally for preparing express drinks, but also to lighten your work in the kitchen. Easy to maintain, it will not be complicated to keep it for many years.

Like most devices of the same type, however, the Neo DA 1000 suffers from a glaring flaw when treating soft ingredients. This feature will not be disabling, and can easily be rectified by alternating the content of the ingredients used.
