Orgasm is one of the most mysterious words, at the same time an object of desire for men and women. While in men this experience does not usually cause problems (apart from impotence), the case of orgasm in women is more complicated. What is an orgasm and how do you get it at the same time as your partner or partner? How many types of orgasms are there in women? Is orgasm possible during pregnancy?

In school preparation for family life, the first questions that arise are: what is an orgasm? What does an orgasm look like? Therefore, this phenomenon needs to be defined at this point. This is the phase of the strongest sexual arousal and is the end of a sexual act (or any other form of erotic action). It is accompanied by a feeling of strong pleasure (delight) and such body reactions as vaginal and cervical contractions in women, and in men – ejaculation of semen and scrotal contraction.

Orgasm is the result of stimulation of the vagina, clitoris or other erogenous zones. In this regard, there are mainly such types of orgasms: vaginal orgasm i clitoral orgasm. Clitoral orgasm is fairly easy to achieve, but vaginal orgasm is a problem for many couples. Such an orgasm does not always happen during intercourse. There are ladies for whom an orgasm is the norm. The inability to have this type of orgasm can also be due to mental blockage and improper structure of the genitals.

How to achieve a vaginal orgasm? As sexologists say, “the size of (penis) does not matter”, what matters more is the technique and the atmosphere during the sexual act. A woman whose man implies that he is loved, treats him with tenderness and cares about intimate mood and foreplay, has a better chance of experiencing a vaginal orgasm.

However, sexologists can advise you on how to achieve a vaginal orgasm: exercise your Kegel muscles and tighten them during intercourse. However, as for the point G, which is legendary, and whose stimulation is supposed to bring full bliss, no one knows if and where it is. So it’s better to count on love and warmth, not technical acrobatics.

Lack of vaginal orgasm does not change much, although some men make it a point of honor for their partner to experience this experience. However, a clitoral orgasm is not much different from a vaginal orgasm. Where there is only automatic gymnastics in bed and the fulfillment of marriage duties, there is often no orgasm.

There is also talk of nipple orgasmwhich is not very frequent because it is difficult to achieve. Not all women will be able to experience nipple orgasm, and the likelihood of it is not easy to determine. Women who have already breastfed have a better chance of having a nipple orgasm. The period before menstruation may also be favorable. To achieve nipple orgasm, you may need the right technique, dosing and variety of caresses, as well as the appropriate adjustment of their intensity.

There are several ways that, depending on circumstances and individual preferences, lead a woman to orgasm. A woman can get pleasure through petting, i.e. safe caresses of partners, which are sometimes an alternative to classic sexual intercourse. Petting provides as much sexual satisfaction as traditional sex and carries a lower risk of pregnancy.

Another path to female orgasm is through oral sex. It consists in stimulating the sexual organs of partners with the help of the tongue and lips. Or otherwise known as French love, oral sex doesn’t have to be limited to stimulating the clitoris. This form of sex can involve all genitals, including the vagina and labia minora. Oral sex is a great idea for foreplay before the main sex act. To increase the hydration of intimate organs, it is worth reaching for a lubricant – you can choose an odorless and colorless product.

More and more women decide to have anal sex with their partner. What is it about? It is a form of sexual intercourse in which stimulation of the anus occurs. The whole process takes place by introducing into the anus of the penis, tongue, fingers or popular sex toys intended to stimulate this erogenous zone.

Getting a woman to orgasm through anal intercourse is a very individual matter. More and more women admit that anal sex gives them the most pleasure, prolongs and intensifies their orgasm. There is also a group of women who associate anal sex with pain. It is worth remembering that this type of intercourse requires proper preparation and hygienic treatments, otherwise it may end unpleasantly.

Adequate hydration is important during anal sex. For this purpose, gels such as the antibacterial anal lubricant Soothe Intimate Earth or the lubricant with hyaluronic acid Back Door Pjur have been developed.

One of the propositions for a woman to feel pleasure is masturbation, which has many benefits. Autoeroticism is usually attributed to men who prefer this form of sexual activity due to physiological needs or lack of sex. Nothing could be more wrong! Women do it too! Often masturbation brings them a more spectacular orgasm than during sex. Why? Because women know their bodies perfectly and with the help of a vibrator or fingers they can give themselves a lot of pleasure.

The last way a woman can achieve orgasm is to stimulate the G-spot. Shrouded in mystery, the G-spot is called the “mythical bliss point” found in the vagina. How to find it? Preferably with the middle and index fingers pressed together, palm facing up. You can feel the G-spot under the fingers, a kind of thickening on the vaginal wall.

It is worth starting the search for this magic point by gently stroking the vagina, then inserting your fingers into it pointing upwards. The G-spot can also be stimulated by the partner with the tongue. Just like with your fingers, you should massage and gradually put pressure on the vaginal wall. Some positions, especially those from the back, help to stimulate the G-spot. The doggy-style position is ideal as the penis can hit the G-spot with any intensity.

Female orgasm – symptoms

We associate experiencing an orgasm in women with ecstatic shouts. However, this is not entirely true. This image of female orgasm is presented to us in the movies. Its symptoms in the real world are much less intense in most cases. A woman’s reaction depends primarily on how her genitals are stimulated.

One of the most characteristic symptoms of female orgasm is rapid breathing. Both ladies and gentlemen have an accelerated heart rate during and immediately after intercourse. In addition, there is redness on the chest and flushing. The whole female body turns pink. Other symptoms are vaginal contractions and interestingly, anal sphincter contractions. The muscles are also tighter and the body takes the shape of an arc.

4 phases of female orgasm

Orgasm in women is a unique experience that can be divided into four phases. The first phase is excitement, then the nipples lengthen to about 1 centimeter, the breasts become swollen and the skin turns red. Muscle tension in the vagina increases significantly, heart rate and blood pressure increase significantly. During the first phase, the glans of the clitoris swells, its shaft lengthens, and a large amount of discharge appears in the vagina. The labia are significantly enlarged and the sensitivity of the uterus increases.

The second phase of female orgasm is referred to as the plateau phase. During this phase, the breasts become even larger, there is congestion around the nipples, and the color of the body changes. The clitoral lobes change color to darker and position, from hanging to hidden. The entrance to the vagina, thanks to the larger vestibular glands, is moisturized.

In the third phase, the so-called sexual blush covers the entire body. Contractions of the anal sphincter and other muscle groups of the body appear. Blood pressure rises significantly, heart rate is faster, there is 40 breaths in and out per minute. Uterine contractions repeat 5 to 12 times, every 8 seconds, with the uterus getting smaller.

The end of orgasm is relaxation. The blush disappears, the breasts return to their original state after a while. The same happens with pressure and heart rate. Breathing also returns to normal. After about 15 minutes, the vagina will take its pre-orgasmic shape and the labia will regain its original appearance after 30 minutes.

Orgasm in women – types

Female orgasm has many names, each is an equally beautiful and intense experience. There are several types of female orgasms, including but not limited to: local orgasm (stimulation of a specific place on a woman’s body); long-lasting (30 minutes and longer); mixed (stimulating several places at the same time); psychogenic (based on fantasizing) and mystical (resulting from intense contemplation and meditation).

An interesting example of female rapture is the tantric orgasm. A woman can achieve it through long-term training with her partner. In this case, concentration plays the most important role. Women also experienced ecstatic orgasms – difficult to define, occurring once or several times in a lifetime.

Women can experience orgasm while experiencing strong emotions that are not entirely related to the sexual act – we call it affective orgasm. Pharmacologically treated women can also experience orgasm from a variety of stimulants, apart from any sexual stimulation.

In almost 90% of men, orgasm is a physiological reaction to the stimulation of the penis. How do you explain that? According to sexologists, male orgasm is called an inborn phenomenon. If men have a rich sex life, orgasm is more intense in the sphere of mental and physical sensations. Men may be aroused by the mere touch of their partner, or even by the sight of her body.

Then the penis stiffens and rises, the foreskin reveals a hidden glans, which changes color and grows larger. Another point is the erection. Depending on the intensity of arousal, it may stay at one level for a long time, decrease or increase. It largely depends on physical conditions. Another symptom of male orgasm is erythema that lingers on the chest, face and neck.

This is followed by the ejaculation of the sperm. The anal sphincter and urethra then contract at a rhythmic rate. The end of orgasm is heralded by a flabby penis and a sudden attack of sleepiness. After a short recovery, the man may be ready for another sexual act again, unfortunately this is not always the case.

Worth knowing

It can occur in a man under certain circumstances orgasm without ejaculation. This phenomenon is also known as dry orgasm or retrograde ejaculation. It does not have to be a cause for concern, but it is worth consulting a doctor, especially if fertility is important for a man. Possible causes of an orgasm without ejaculation include neuropathies, injuries, a history of surgeries, and drug use.

It happens that despite the pleasure experienced during sexual intercourse or masturbation, women do not end up experiencing a vaginal or clitoral orgasm. One of the reasons may be a mental barrier. Women who have experienced violence in the past or have been rigorously reared may have difficulty achieving orgasm. In this case, a visit to a psychotherapist or sexologist is recommended.

The lack of orgasm can be affected by a busy lifestyle, stress, fatigue, rapid weight gain or loss, and an incorrect diet. Hormones play a key role in female orgasm. They act as a kind of communicator between authorities. The hormones largely responsible for female sexuality include:

  1. estrogens, are responsible for the proper development of the reproductive organs in women, regulate, inter alia, libido level, sexual activity and sensitize to stimuli;
  2. progesterone is a hormone necessary for ovulation. Its task is to prepare the uterus for the establishment of the egg and for the maintenance of pregnancy. The increase in this hormone automatically lowers libido;
  3. testosteron keeps the body in good sexual condition. It increases desire in both women and men;
  4. dopamine increases the desire for sex, has a significant impact on the feeling of euphoria and pleasure during intercourse;
  5. Serotonin, also known as the happiness hormone, regulates the sleep cycle and mood;
  6. endorphins improve well-being and satisfaction. They are produced during consumption of chocolate, orgasm, laughter and in the initial stage of falling in love;
  7. Thyroid hormones (calcitonin, T3 and T4) have a significant influence on the incidence of desire in women;
  8. prolactin is a hormone that induces lactation and stimulates the growth of the breast glands during pregnancy. It blocks the secretion of LH and FSH, which leads to an arrest of menstruation and ovulation, and a decrease in libido.

Orgasm in pregnancy – is it possible?

During pregnancy, many couples give up intercourse because they feel that intercourse and the associated orgasm may somehow harm the baby. However, sex during pregnancy, as long as it is uneventful, is absolutely safe. Moreover, having an orgasm in pregnancy has many benefits. It not only improves the general mood of the spouses, but also minimizes pregnancy discomfort. Contrary to popular belief, having an orgasm in pregnancy does not cause premature birth.

Interestingly, many women experience their first powerful orgasm only during pregnancy. At this point in life, they react much more intensely to any stimulus. Even during one intercourse, a pregnant woman may experience several orgasms. This is due to the strong blood supply to the uterus and vaginal walls. In addition, the pleasure after reaching orgasm also lasts longer.

Experiencing orgasm during pregnancy has a positive effect on both the woman and the baby. After intercourse is complete, oxytocin is released, a peptide hormone produced in the hypothalamus. Oxytocin, circulating in the mother’s body, provides the baby with a large dose of the happiness hormones and, as a result, causes a feeling of bliss in both of them.
