Before you fall for a so-called “organic” cosmetic product (for you or Baby), take the time to check THE important detail: its labeling! Five “organic” certification bodies (mentioned on the packaging) are trustworthy:
– Ecocert, which issues the “ecological and organic cosmetics” label (products whose raw materials come from organic farming, containing no derivative of the petrochemical industry);
— Nature and Progress ;
— French quality;
— Cosmébio;
—BDIH.
Beware of certain substances
Otherwise, beware! A good number of hygiene and beauty products (even those which claim to be natural) contain doubtful substances which are potentially dangerous for health (PEG, phthalates, glycols, alkylphenols, parabens, phenoxyethanol, synthetic fragrances, etc.). Keep your eyes open!
