With honey

Take half a glass of honey and sugar, 4 oranges, mint leaves, 1 lemon, 30 ml of lemon juice, 8 pears and 3 cloves.

  1. Combine honey, cloves, sugar, 4 cups water and lemon juice in a large saucepan.
  2. Wash the pears, peel and cut the core.
  3. Add them to the pot.
  4. Put on fire, boil and cook for 20 minutes.
  5. Place the pears in a bowl, peel the citrus fruits.
  6. Put oranges in syrup, boil and boil for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Put citrus fruits on top of pears. Cook the syrup separately for another 5 minutes.

First of all, citrus fruits should be washed. With a sharp knife, remove the zest, cut into thin strips. Mix separately with sugar. Pour in water and boil until the sugar crystals dissolve. Boil for 2-3 minutes and remove from heat.

  3. Pour the zest with water and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Strain, boil again. Dissolve sugar.

  6. Insist 60 minutes.
  7. Drain the syrup, boil it and pour it back into the container.
  8. Roll up compote with clean lids.

Without rolling

  1. Rinse the fruit and carefully cut the zest, preferably as thin as possible.
  2. Cut the oranges into two parts, squeeze out the juice.
  3. It will turn out about half a liter of juice with pulp, only the bones need to be removed from it.
  4. Add zest, granulated sugar and water to the bowl with juice (up to the edges of the pan).
  5. Cover with a lid, put on fire and bring to a boil.
  6. Remove from stove, let steep and cool.
  7. Strain and put in the refrigerator.

With Pumpkin

The number of ingredients is indicated for 500 g of pumpkin. You will need 1 cup of granulated sugar, 3 oranges, 2 liters of purified water.

Step-by-step cooking instructions:

  1. If the pumpkin is large, cut it into 2 or 4 pieces. Remove the skin and remove the seeds.
  2. Cut first into strips, then into small cubes.
  3. Prepare syrup from sugar and water. Put the pumpkin in a saucepan, pour over the syrup, put on the stove.
  4. Cook for a quarter of an hour over low heat.
  5. At this time, prepare citrus fruits. Remove the skin from one fruit, squeeze out the juice.
  6. To the zest add 3 tbsp. l. sugar and grind well.
  7. Remove the peel from the rest of the oranges, cut the pulp into slices. Add to the pumpkin, mix and boil for another 5-7 minutes.
  8. Pour in the orange juice and cook for another 3 minutes.
  9. If desired, you can taste the drink and add sugar. The drink is ready.

Cinnamon

Take 4 oranges, 2 liters of water, 5 g of cinnamon, 200 g of granulated sugar.

Then follow these steps:

  1. Peel citrus fruits. Chop into slices, cover with sugar.
  2. Wait for them to release juice. Mix it with water, add granulated sugar and cook for 20-25 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle in cinnamon and orange slices.
  4. Boil the drink for 10 minutes over low heat.
  5. Switch off and let it brew.

With cranberries

Stock up on 1 kg of sweet oranges, 1 kg of granulated sugar, 6 cinnamon sticks, 200 g of cranberries and 12 star anise.

Now the actual cooking process:

  1. Rinse citrus fruits and berries. Dry well.
  2. Cut the skin off the oranges. Remove films and bones from the pulp, cut into slices.
  3. Place orange slices in prepared container.
  4. Pour the zest with water, boil and cook for 10-13 minutes.
  5. Strain, pour citrus slices with broth.
  6. After 15 minutes, pour the broth into a saucepan.
  7. Add star anise, cinnamon and cranberries to the slices in the bowl.
  8. Prepare syrup by adding sugar to the broth.
  9. Add it to the orange slices and let it brew.

With apples and wine

Take 300 g of apples, 1 cup of sugar, 2 medium oranges, 2 tbsp. l. guilt.

  3. Place the apple slices on a plate and cover with sugar.
  4. Place slices of fruits and citruses in vases, sprinkle with sugar, pour wine over and remove for 2 hours to infuse.

From orange peels

The compote preparation process is as follows:

  1. Thoroughly wash the oranges, remove the peel.
  2. Chop and leave for 12 hours in boiled water.
  3. Grind in a meat grinder.
  4. Boil water, add granulated sugar and boil until it dissolves.
  5. Pour peels into boiling syrup and boil for 2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and leave for 12 hours.
  7. Strain, add a little citric acid and boil.
  8. Pour the drink into clean bottles.
  9. Before use, dilute with cold boiled water in a ratio of 1:8.

As practice shows, orange compote is not a popular preparation for the winter. And this is very bad, because there are many options for harvesting both with and without rolling.

Of course, the main component is sold in stores throughout the year. But still compote is better to harvest in the fall. So it will be many times more useful, because seasonal berries and fruits are added to it. Thanks to this, the drink becomes even more aromatic, richer and tastier.
