Opinion: in 20 years we will eat meat with might and main, but not from animals

An interesting forecast was recently given by experts from the AT Kearne consulting company (USA). They believe that by 2040 most of the meat produced will not come from animals, but will be plant-based or grown in a laboratory.

The search and creation of alternative sources of meat is now a very popular idea; laboratories have already taught how to grow steaks and tuna from plant components. Vegan meat will not only meet the needs of an increasing number of vegans, but also reduce the negative impact of animal husbandry on the environment.

Experts from AT Kearney state: “Today, animal husbandry is viewed by many as an unnecessary evil. Thanks to their benefits, vegan meat substitutes and cultured meats will gain significant market share in the future. It’s just a matter of time. “

Meat, grown in the laboratory or created from plant ingredients, often mimics real meat in taste and texture. However, its production is a rather complicated process. Because of this, experts call the “meat revolution” rather long-term and predict that by 2040, 35% of all meat produced will be grown in a laboratory, and 25% will be made on a plant basis.

And if environmentalists are excited about this news, then the meat-producing countries, which include Ireland and Argentina, need to think about activities in new areas.

We will remind, earlier we told what unusual hotel appeared in Scotland and how vegans might like it. They also shared recipes for vegan chocolate pancakes and recipes for delicious cutlets.
