Tantum Verde liquid is used to treat symptoms (pain, redness, swelling) associated with inflammation of the mouth and throat, i.e. bacterial and viral infections, laryngitis, mucositis after radiotherapy, in conditions after surgery in dentistry and laryngology after intubation.

Tantum Verde liquid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, a derivative of indazole.
Tantum Verde liquid – indications and dosage
The preparation Tantum Verde liquid is a drug intended for the treatment of symptoms such as: pain, redness, swelling accompanying inflammation of the mouth and throat during:
- bacterial and viral infections,
- mucositis after radiation therapy,
- laryngeal infections,
- conditions after surgery in dentistry and laryngology, after intubation.
Dosage of the preparation
Tantum Verde liquid is in the form of a rinse solution for the mouth and throat. Do not exceed the recommended dose of the preparation as it may pose a threat to your life or health.
- 2-3 × / d; use about 15 ml of concentrated or diluted solution with a small amount of water at a time and rinse the mouth and throat for 20-30 seconds.
Tantum Verde liquid and contraindications
A contraindication to the use of Tantum Verde liquid is hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation.
Tantum Verde liquid – warnings
- Treatment should not exceed 7 days, and a doctor will decide on a possible extension.
- If you do not feel better after short-term use, contact your doctor.
- Long-term use of Tantum Verde liquid may cause allergy. In this case, the drug should be discontinued and appropriate measures instituted.
- The solution is not recommended for people who have difficulty rinsing their mouth and throat properly, therefore this drug should only be used by adults and older children under adult supervision.
- Before using Tantum Verde liquid during pregnancy or breastfeeding, a doctor should be consulted.

Tantum Verde liquid – side effects
Treatment with Tantum Verde liquid may lead to the following side effects:
- the most common occurrence is numbness or loss of sensation in the places of application of the preparation,
- prickling or tingling sensation
- sometimes a slight burning sensation of the mucosa,
- the drug is absorbed in a small amount into the circulation,
- general side effects such as nausea, vomiting, headache and dizziness appear rarely and are not too severe.
