Presiding over the list of the best restaurants in the world and staying on it is not an easy task. With only 12 tables and an average menu price (for normal days) of 250 euros, the Franciscan tavern de Massimo Bottura is in the news again this time for its exclusive new years eve menu that will serve at a price of 1.000 euros per person.

This Italian restaurant located in the center of the beautiful city of Modena was chosen a few months ago (and for the second time) as the «Best restaurant in the world 2018» in the famous list of «The World’s 50 Best Restaurants», which collects the excellence of the top 50.

The proposalAccording to the restaurant’s own website, it is a tribute to three great international chefs who have already passed away: Paul Bocuse, Gualtiero Marchesi y Joel Robuchon.

Between their dishes we find starters such as a bouillabaisse of rice with gold and saffron, red mullet in vegetable root flakes, open ravioli of foie, leeks and black truffle or guinea fowl with white truffle and mashed potatoes.

As to Pairing included in the price: Krug 1996, 8’9’10 Riserva Gravner, Corail Château Roquefort 2017 or Riesling Markus Molitor 1989, among other wines.
