One-day contact lenses are intended for single use. Due to the fact that they are changed every day, they do not require the use of any boxes, liquids or care products for their storage. Convenient application, sterile and disposable lens packages are just some of their advantages.
One-day contact lenses – to whom are they most often recommended?
One-day contact lenses are especially recommended for athletes and people who usually wear glasses, and who want to wear contact lenses on special occasions – especially for important celebrations (e.g. a wedding) or a meeting with friends. They can be worn by people with hyperopia and myopia, as well as astigmatics.
Daily lenses are the most comfortable type of lenses. Their care contributes to this, which is basically limited to the minimum. There are also colored daily contact lenses available on the market, which will allow you to change your image as you wish.
One-day contact lenses – why are they recommended to athletes?
Daily contact lenses are practical for athletes who wear them during training or sports competitions. They allow them to avoid wearing glasses and the risk of breaking them, for example during a match.
One-day contact lenses also provide additional convenience for travelers who do not need to carry a glasses case or cleaning products in their suitcase.
One-day contact lenses – are they safe for allergy sufferers?
Due to the fact that daily lenses are disposable, they are suitable for allergy sufferers with sensitive eyes that require special care. First-time contact lenses may also be tried on daily lenses to see if they are appropriate for their eyes.
One-day contact lenses – should they be consulted with an ophthalmologist?
Always consult an ophthalmologist when purchasing disposable contact lenses. This applies not only to people who have astigmatism or other visual impairment in both eyes, but to anyone who wants to wear contact lenses instead of glasses. During the visit, the ophthalmologist will be able to advise whether the selected contact lenses are suitable for our defect, and whether it allows us to wear them.
One-day contact lenses – how to put them on?
These types of glasses should be put in for a maximum of several hours (preferably eight), after which they should be thrown away. Although initially putting on contact lenses (not only one-day ones, but also others) may seem difficult, as you gain experience, it ceases to be problematic.
We will only need antibacterial soap, a mirror and a towel that does not fray. Before putting on lenses, wash your hands thoroughly so that germs from your hands are not transferred to your eyes. Also, do not forget to prevent the contact of the lens from contacting the tap water, as this can increase the risk of eye infections.

Then take the lens out of the packaging and put it on the fingertip, so that it resembles a bowl. In this case, it is very important which finger you use to perform the activity. If we are right-handed, it is best to put the lens on the index finger of the right hand, and if we are left-handed – on the index finger of the left hand.
The next step is to pull back the upper eyelid with the other free hand and the lower eyelid with the middle finger in which we hold the lens. Thanks to this, we will prevent blinking when putting the lens to the cornea.
If the lens bends, you should correct it and then try to put it on your eye again. After inserting the lens, make sure that the lens is on the cornea. For that, it’s worth looking up and down. If we can see everything correctly, we can repeat the action on the other eye.
Multifocal disposable contact lenses – when can they be worn?
Multifocal contact lenses are another name for progressive contact lenses, which are also available in a disposable version. They work best in people over 40, who notice presbyopia, i.e. blurring of the image seen from a short distance. Multifocal contact lenses can replace the so-called reading glasses.

One-day contact lenses – use
Daily lenses are very practical. They do not have a case to put them in in the evening. They also do not require any maintenance after use. Preservatives are therefore not required with this type of lens.
A new pair of lenses is put on each day, ensuring optimal comfort for many hours. They also help reduce the risk of infection and allergies for the user. Daily lenses can be worn alternately with other types of lenses, such as, for example, monthly lenses.
Depending on the user’s preferences, they can be used daily or once in a while.
One pair of daily contact lenses allows for clear and clear vision. Their special feature is that they remain stable on the cornea.
