3. Divination of the future with cups

Divination requires several cups (as many as fortune tellers). Put a ring, a coin, bread, sugar, onion, salt in cups, pour a little water into one cup. With their eyes closed, each of the fortune tellers, in turn, chooses a cup.

Prophecies for the future are as follows: ring – before the wedding; coin – to wealth; bread – to abundance; sugar – for fun; onion – to tears; salt – to misfortune or trials, and a cup of water – to life without much change.

4. Divination of the character of the groom

On the night of January 13-14, before going to bed, the girls need to put playing cards with the image of kings under the pillow. In the morning, despite, you need to draw one card. Whatever king a girl gets, so will a man: the king of spades is old and jealous, the club king is military, the king of worms is young and rich, and the king of diamonds is desirable.

5. Divination by desire

Before going to bed on January 13, write 12 wishes on separate pieces of paper, gently roll up and put under a pillow. When you wake up in the morning, pull out 3 of them – they will definitely take place in the new year.

6. Divination on a chain

If a bow comes out of the chain, something romantic is waiting for you: a date, a wedding – in a word, love. A chain in the shape of a letter is a symbol of new relationships. It is possible that the name of the convict will begin with this letter. But the tangled chain does not bode well. The year will be difficult, we will have to untangle the knots of life.

7. Divination of the groom’s name

Another very popular divination for the Old New Year is the search for a groom under a pillow. To do this, you need to put under the pillow sheets of paper with male names written on them. In the morning, get one of the leaves. The name on it will be the name of your convict.

You can also go outside at midnight and ask the name of the first person you meet. They believe that whatever name you are given, that is the name of your future husband.

8. Divination with stockings

Girls will have to prepare for this divination in advance – to buy stockings. Before going to bed on one leg you need to put on a new stocking and go to bed. At the same time, the girl must say: “Judged, dressed, come and take off my shoes.” A man who takes off his stocking in a dream will become a future man.

9. Divination by a thread

Insert three threads into three needles: black, white and red. Have someone gently pin them to your clothes from the back. Without knowing the order of the needles, pull out one thread. Red thread means a quick marriage and the birth of a baby, white – still loneliness, and black – marriage will not bring you happiness, you need to pay attention to career growth.

10. Divination for weddings

On Old New Year’s Eve at midnight, the girlfriends go out into the yard and, blindfolding each other with a handkerchief, turn around several times, and then push the girl in the back. 11. Dumpling divination

In a circle you need to place saucers with different cereals: buckwheat, millet, rice, semolina, oatmeal, pearl barley, and pour water into a separate saucer. The girls take turns spinning a raw egg in the center of the circle and watching in which direction it will roll.

If to buckwheat – the groom will be rich, to millet – will be blond, to rice – will be married, to semolina – the groom will be from the north, to pearl barley – the groom will be military. Water means that the girl is waiting for travel. If the egg spins in place, then the girl will not get married this year.
