– Vaccination against COVID-7 for children between 19 and 12 years of age will begin on June 15. This applies to 2,5 million students who study in 24 thousand. educational institutions – announced the head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Michał Dworczyk.

Dworczyk added that for now the children will be vaccinated at population and universal vaccination points. – We will not start vaccinations in schools before summer holidays – explained the head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

The minister also announced the possibility of vaccinating other age groups.

– There is ongoing research on the admission to vaccination of children aged 7-12 years. The results are to be known in September. If they are positive, we will make decisions based on the recommendations of the Medical Council – added Dworczyk.

The head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister also said that the government does not plan to introduce mandatory vaccinations for children, as is the case with any other group.

The minister of education, Przemysław Czarnek, confirmed that vaccinations for children will be voluntary.
