Omnadren is a drug whose active substance consists of four testosterone compounds: Testosterone Propionate, Testosterone Phenylpropionate, Testosterone Caprate, Testosterone Isocaprate. It is in the form of a solution for injection and should be used under the supervision of a physician. It has a strong androgenic and anabolic effect. It is a preparation for building muscle mass (in combination with methanabol), causes a rapid increase in mass and an increase in respiratory efficiency. In medicine, it is used in clinical oncology and endocrinology.
Omnadren – indications
In men, the drug is used to treat:
- hypogonadism (hypogonadism),
- impotence caused by hypogonadism,
- post-castration team,
- too low testosterone levels (may be manifested by decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, loss of strength and decreased muscle mass, depression, weakened immunity).
Intended use place in Omnad in women:
- metastatic breast cancer,
- cancer of the endometrium (lining of the womb).
Contraindications and precautions for the use of Omnadren 250:
- hypersensitivity to the hormone testosterone,
- prostate cancer,
- male breast cancer,
- hypercalcemia,
- heart failure
- kidney failure
- liver failure
- liver cancer (when the tumors are not metastatic tumors in neoplasms of the breast and endometrium).
It should not be used on boys under the age of 15.
Do not use in pregnant and lactating women.
Do not use if you are allergic to peanut oil, peanuts and soy.
Omnadren – side effects
Like any drug, Omnadren 250 also has a number of side effects. They can be:
- symptoms related to an allergy to the components of the drug,
- in men: atrophy of the testicles, disorders related to sperm production, enlargement of the mammary glands (gynecomastia),
- in women: menstrual disorders, anovulation, acne, male pattern baldness,
- increase in blood calcium levels,
- problems with the growth of long bones in young people,
- inflammation and pain at the injection site,
- excessive body hair,
- oily skin,
- excessive water retention in the body, which leads to edema that obstructs the functioning,
- increase in the level of aggression (especially with long-term use of high doses),
- increase in cholesterol levels,
- increase in blood pressure.
Interactions of Omnadren 250 with other drugs
Almost any drug can react with other drugs you are taking to reduce or increase its effects. Before taking 250th place in Omnad inform your doctor about all medications you are currently taking, including those without a prescription. Omnadren it increases the effect of oral anticoagulants. The effects of testosterone may be reduced by: barbiturates, rifampicin, carbamazepine, salicylates, phenytoin, primidone. Be careful when taking insulin because Omnadren may reduce glucose levels and insulin requirements. Increases the effect of oxifenbutazone. Use with corticosteroids increases the risk of edema.
