Omelet in a double boiler. Video recipe
Decided to make a healthy dish, but want it to be not only light, but also tasty and satisfying? Then cook an omelet in a double boiler. If desired, you can add cheese and vegetables to it, combine the egg-milk layers with minced meat from boiled meat in a diet casserole, or simply pour pasta with an omelette mass.
Omelette in a double boiler
Ingredients: – 5 chicken eggs; – 1 tbsp. milk; – 0,5 tsp salt.
Break the eggs into a bowl and pour in the milk. Season with salt and lightly stir the mixture with a fork. Pour the raw omelet into a steamer rice dish and set over the steam. Cook the dish for 20 minutes in the Bake mode.
Steam omelet with vegetables and cheese
Ingredients: – 5 chicken eggs; – 1 tbsp. milk; – 1 onion; – 2 tomatoes; – 200 g green peas (fresh or frozen); – 100 g of hard unsweetened cheese; – 2 tbsp. vegetable oil; – 0,5 tsp salt.
Peel the onion and chop into small cubes, cut the tomatoes into small slices. Combine prepared vegetables and green peas in a double bowl and simmer until half cooked for 5-7 minutes. Meanwhile, beat eggs with milk and salt. Drain the resulting juice from the vegetable trio, season it with vegetable oil and fill with an omelette mass. Grate the cheese on a fine grater, sprinkle on the dish and cook the omelet with steamed vegetables for 20 minutes using the baking mode in the double boiler.
If you do not drain the liquid from the steamed vegetables, then you will not get a homogeneous tasty dish, but pieces of omelet floating in tomato juice. It not only looks ugly, but also tastes unpleasant.
Low Calorie Meat Omelet Casserole
Ingredients: – 4 chicken eggs; – 100 ml of milk; – 200 g of beef; – 1-1,5 tbsp. butter; – salt.
Instead of meat, you can take the same amount of mushrooms steamed for 20 minutes
Rinse the piece of beef, place it on the steamer wire rack and cook for 30 minutes. Then cut it into pieces and pass it through a meat grinder or blender. Salt the minced meat to taste and mix with melted butter. Combine eggs with milk, add 1/3 tsp. salt and pour equally into three cups. Pour the first portion into a cooker of rice and cook for 10 minutes, until thickened. Mix the second half of the mixture and the meat filling and place on top of the omelet. This time, set the steamer timer to 15 minutes. Pour the contents of the third cup in the last layer and bake the dish in a double boiler until fully cooked for another 10 minutes.
Delicious omelette in a double boiler with pasta and ham
Ingredients: – 5 chicken eggs; – 1 tbsp. milk; – 200 g of boiled pasta tubes; – 100 g of boiled pork ham; – a pinch of chili powder; – salt.
Stir the eggs with milk, without beating, and lightly salt. Place the pasta, ham strips in a mold and cover with a liquid omelet. Sprinkle the chili powder over the dish and cook in 30 minutes in a double boiler.
