A traditional bowl is not cheap. Cooking herring under a fur coat, as it turned out, is more profitable to cook.
According to the specialists of the Federal State Statistics Service, since December last year, the cost of a grocery set for Olivier salad has grown by 4,6 percent. It seems to be a little, but if you count not in percentage, but in money, it becomes unpleasant.
Rosstat offers a basic recipe for Olivier for its calculations: half a kilo of canned cucumbers and potatoes, a standard can of green peas, 200 g of carrots, 4 eggs, 300 g of boiled sausage, 100 g of onions and 200 g of mayonnaise for dressing. They did not count salt and pepper, they are already in every home. As reported “
The prices for onion have grown most noticeably in just a year – by 10 percent. Sausage, peas and cucumbers rose in price by 6 percent, mayonnaise – by 5 percent, and a dozen eggs – by 1 percent. Only some vegetables fell in price: potatoes and carrots. However, these are not the most expensive items in the recipe. And they buy them less often: many grow root crops in their garden.
Herring under a fur coat turned out to be a more democratic salad. The basic recipe is as follows: 350 g of salted herring, 400 g of potatoes, 350 g of beets, 200 g of carrots, 2 eggs, 100 g of onion and 300 g of mayonnaise. Over the year, the cost of four portions has risen in price by only 4 rubles – this year you will have to spend 157 rubles, and in the past the “fur coat” cost 153.
By the way
The most noticeable increase in recent years is the cost of buckwheat – by 7,3 percent. Experts attributed this to the fact that agricultural producers began to sow less buckwheat due to its low price. The deficit quite predictably changed the situation. Tomatoes and cucumbers rose even more noticeably – by 23,5 and 15,1 percent, respectively. However, this is an annual seasonal increase in prices for these vegetables. Oranges also became “heavier” – by 11,6 percent, bananas – by 5,9 percent.
But apples (8,2%), carrots (9,1%), white cabbage (8%), potatoes (7,3%) fell slightly. In addition, prices for lemons and pears fell.
